Studio in the manor
The studio of visual artist Heinke Both is located on the upper floor of a barn complex on the extensive estate grounds. For the first time at Kunst Offen, she is opening her studio to the public for art dialog and exchange and presenting an exhibition in the hall. On display will be prints, installations and material collages. Her works are fundamentally concerned with the theme of identity and the sensitivities of being human.
Studio in the enchanted garden
The exhibition "Painting and Poetry", in the painter and architect's self-designed studio, shows the becoming and passing of life and the parallels between man and nature. The painter and architect's self-designed studio is located in the middle of an expanse of water, surrounded by water lilies. The copper roof, with its tower figure "Letting dreams fly" and the entrance door of the house with the bronze relief of a dreamy girl, provide an insight into the soul of the temple of art, and many small figurative details on and in the building also form the framework for the artist's pictures. She is interested in the coming and passing of life, love and the parallels between nature and mankind. These are pictures of nature and her home town of Rostock that reveal poetry. Just as nature changes with the changing seasons, people change through their experiences and the city changes too. Art is the sound of the soul. Her working credo is New Romantic Realism.

Jürgens Studio-Gallery
You love painting. Then let us surprise you. Atelier-Galerie Jürgens is located in the south of Wismar, just a 10-minute walk from the market square. Atelier-Galerie Jürgens is located at Goethestraße 4, just a 10-minute walk from Wismar's market square. Manfred W. Jürgens, a representative of New Realism, presents a selection of his works in bright rooms and provides a glimpse of panel paintings currently in progress. In a world of chronic over-staging, Jürgens is in search of the concrete, of precision and clarity. When a pictorial idea flows through the soul via the experience in the eye and finds new formulation via the brush on the canvas, then that is pure painting! Fashions and trends are ignored. Realistic painting aims to depict things in life precisely as they are, without embellishment. But what is realism anyway? Experts argue about this question. After all, no matter how "lifelike" the artist may depict something, his painting always bears his own signature. All painting is an abstraction, and so is realism. Portraits of people and animals, still lifes and seascapes - deceptively beautiful and often disturbing. Opening hours: Jan.-Dec.: Mon-Sun 2-7 p.m.

Studio house of the Kulturmühle Wismar e.V.
Painting with anything that works: coffee, surface smoother, toilet paper, acrylic paints, synthetic resin binder, linseed oil, turpentine substitute, pigments. I am on the trail of the event. The impulse that makes me want to paint. Sometimes I pick something up, put it on the canvas - and it prompts me to do more. I could slow myself down to follow a previously conceived idea, but the idea is from yesterday, is no longer important, so I follow the new idea. Sometimes the idea and the new idea come very close and sometimes the idea dissolves into a new expanse. So every picture has its own story, its own path and its own context. Images transport experiences and connect emotions. That is why I would like to take you into the world of these pictures. Opening hours Jan-Dec: Fr+Sa 16-19 o'clock

Moorbauer excursion restaurant
The Moorbauer is located on the Peene Canal between Lake Kummerow and Lake Malchin, in the untouched nature of Mecklenburg Switzerland. And as the name suggests, in the middle of the moor with its very own flora and fauna. Beavers and otters are at home here. Every guest is immediately transported to another world: unwinding is the order of the day in this tranquil and enchanting place. The restaurant is a crooked hut in the middle of the moor. In our opinion, this is what makes the Moorbauern so charming (in addition to its special location). The dining room seats 30 people comfortably. Guests have to cross the courtyard to use the toilets. We have extensively renovated these. Tables, chairs, sunshades and deckchairs are available for guests by the water The Moorbauer excursion restaurant can only be reached from the water. If you don't have your own boat - many paddlers and sailors come here in summer - you can take the passenger boat Forelle or the company's own pedal boats (in the shape of swans!) from the opposite side. Guests for whom this is not an option can be picked up by the moor farmer in his boat. The regular season is expected to start on June 26 and end on September 6, Thursdays to Sundays from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Viewing platform on the border path The viewing platform on Grenzweg in Ahrenshoop is a very special place of peace and space. From here, the view opens up over the gently rolling dune landscape, the beach and the glistening water. The atmosphere is particularly beautiful when the wind softly blows through the grasses and seagulls circle around - then time seems to stand still for a moment. It invites you to stop for a moment, enjoy nature and leave everyday life behind. Whether for a short break during a walk, to take photos or simply to take a deep breath - this viewpoint shows the quiet beauty of Ahrenshoop in a particularly beautiful way.

Dütschow Bridge viewpoint
The observation tower at the Dütschow bridge offers a unique view over the fish ponds and the Müritz-Elde waterway. The Lewitz fish ponds were artificially created in the 19th century. With a water surface area of around 900 hectares and a depth of 1.20 m, they are mainly used for carp farming. There is an observation tower on the edge of the ponds, right next to the Dütschow bridge. From here, visitors can observe the diverse birdlife of the Lewitz, including white-tailed eagles, peregrine falcons, gray herons, great egrets and many more. A visit is worthwhile at any time of year - but it is most beautiful during the bird migration, when numerous migratory birds rest on the fish ponds and put on an unforgettable spectacle.
Hofsee viewpoint in Speck
Hofsee viewpoint in Speck The Hofsee is located in the middle of the Müritz National Park between the Priesterbäker See and the Specker See. Here you can still get directly to the shore, go swimming or fishing (with a permit). The viewing hut in the north of the lake offers the opportunity to observe nature and its inhabitants in peace. Don't forget your binoculars. In and around the village there are old trees, such as the 200-year-old pine tree in the north or the 800-year-old summer lime tree opposite the old village church; and the old smithy, as well as a playground.
Loddiner Höft viewpoint
The southern tip of Loddiner Höft offers a picturesque view across the Achterwasser to the mainland opposite and the Lieper Winkel and Gnitz peninsulas. The hilly terrain with the steep cliffs sloping down to the Achterwasser in the west is extremely scenic and is one of the most beautiful landscapes on the island of Usedom. Large areas of sandy grassland, in particular silver grass meadows and carnation and carthusian pink - sheep's fescue meadows.
Viewpoint Reiherberg
At 143 m, the Reiherberg is one of the highest elevations in the Feldberg lake district and offers a truly fantastic view over the Haussee lake with its two picturesque islands to the silhouette of Feldberg. The Reiherberg can be reached on foot via the Reinhard-Barby-Höhenweg. It lies to the north of the main town of Feldberg and offers a phenomenal view of the main town in the lake district. Because it is also 60 m above the level of the Haussee lake, the mountain is one of the highlights of the hiking route in both senses of the word. However, it should be noted that the Reiherberg is by no means a mountain in the classic sense, but rather - like all the landscapes around Feldberg - part of the glacial series. The elevation is described more precisely by the term "glacial edge", which was formed when the dead ice melted. The Reiherberg is particularly beautiful in the early morning when the fog clears over the adjacent Haussee lake or on New Year's Eve. From here, you can watch the pyrotechnical goings-on of the inhabitants of Feldberg. But the mountain also shows its graceful side at all other times. Due to its beauty, the Reiherberg not only attracts hikers, it can also be visited by cyclists. In addition, carriage rides through the surrounding beech forest are regularly offered, with the mountain as a must-see attraction.
Viewpoint southern tip of Gnitz
From a small hill on the southern tip of the Gnitz peninsula, you have an impressive view of the Achterwasser and the mainland beyond. The nature reserve at the southern tip of Gnitz offers special botanical features such as the orchid, silver grass and sand strawflowers. It is a habitat for otters, moor frogs and grass frogs, and grass snakes and even sea eagles can often be seen.
Bobbin Temple Hill viewpoint
One of the most beautiful vantage points over the Jasmund Bodden and the Wittow peninsula. The 60-metre-high Tempelberg is located in the immediate vicinity of the road between Sagard and Glowe, not far from the village of Bobbin. It offers a view over the Great Jasmund Bodden to the west. On clear evenings, you can see the lighthouses of the island of Hiddensee and Cape Arkona. In autumn, many photographers use this vantage point to take pictures of the numerous cranes that flock to the Great Jasmund Bodden in the evening hours to spend the night. You can also experience romantic sunsets at this spot.
Observation tower "Elwkieker" Boizenburg
NOTE: Due to the danger of landslides in the area of the Elbe slope, the Elwkieker observation tower and its apron are currently closed! The Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has its own special charm at any time of year. The area between Dömitz and Boizenburg is particularly popular because a unique floodplain landscape has developed here that is very close to nature. The "Elwkieker" viewpoint near Boizenburg-Vier not only offers a fantastic view over the Elbe river and the fascinating dyke foreland with its sometimes steep Elbe banks and sandy heathland, it also provides a view far into Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. The "Elwkieker" observation tower and the "EinFlussReich" open-air exhibition above the Elbhang staircase are also good starting points for a circular walk through the Vierwald forest. A narrow, hilly path first leads through a species-rich mixed forest to the almost 60-metre-high Köpelberg, before returning to Vier via a former border control path, the so-called Kolonnenweg. The hike takes around 2.5 hours. The Vierwald is particularly beautiful in spring, when the Elbe shimmers through the first delicate green of the hillside forest, or in autumn, when the species-rich mixed forest takes on its colorful foliage.
Old water tower observation tower
The round brick building is now a technical monument with a viewpoint. The old water tower in Lübz is a striking building and an important testimony to the town's industrial history. It was built in 1913 and is 37 meters high. It was originally used to supply the town with water. In 2006, the tower was converted into an observation tower. The tower is easily accessible thanks to a newly installed spiral staircase. A particular highlight is the distant view from an additional level built into the former water collection tank, which offers visitors an impressive view over Lübz and the surrounding area. If required, please contact the town information office. Admission is €1.00, donations are welcome. The key is available from the town information office.
Barther Bodden observation tower Barther Oie
In the middle of the Barther Bodden landscape you have a great view over the Bodden and the Barther Oie, which serves as a roosting and breeding area for cranes and many other birds.
