Wismar · Wismar & Nordwestmecklenburg · 53.8958° N, 11.4666° E
Studio house of the Kulturmühle Wismar e.V.

Painting with anything that works: coffee, surface smoother, toilet paper, acrylic paints, synthetic resin binder, linseed oil, turpentine substitute, pigments.

I am on the trail of the event. The impulse that makes me want to paint. Sometimes I pick something up, put it on the canvas - and it prompts me to do more. I could slow myself down to follow a previously conceived idea, but the idea is from yesterday, is no longer important, so I follow the new idea. Sometimes the idea and the new idea come very close and sometimes the idea dissolves into a new expanse. So every picture has its own story, its own path and its own context. Images convey experiences and connect emotions. That is why I would like to take you into the world of these pictures. Opening hours Jan-Dec: Fr+Sa 16-19 o'clock

Atelierhaus der Kulturmühle Wismar e.V. - Painting between experiment and intuition

The Kulturmühle Wismar e.V. studio house is an unusual art venue in the heart of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. Here, painting is not created according to a fixed plan, but in a dialog between artist, material and the moment itself. Coffee, toilet paper, surface smoothers, acrylic paints, pigments, linseed oil and synthetic resin binder are all part of the tools - everything that can trigger an impulse finds its way onto the canvas.

Intuitive painting - follow the moment, not the imagination

The focus is on the question of why a picture is created. Every brushstroke, every layer can provide a new direction that becomes more important than the original idea. In this way, each work carries its own story. Images convey experiences and connect emotions - that is the core of this artistic work, which invites visitors to immerse themselves in this multi-layered visual world.
