Greifswald

Whether it’s a sailing trip to Norway, Rügen, Bornholm, or Copenhagen, AbenteuerSegeln will show you the most beautiful spots in the European North Sea and the Baltic Sea aboard one of its modern and safe sailing yachts. For day guests, various sailing trips are offered in Greifswald, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience in Germany’s most beautiful sailing area. The various cruises are conducted on two yachts, each tailored to the specific requirements of the respective sailing areas. In addition, experienced skippers are on board for all cruises and are always available to answer any questions you may have about sailing along on the trips. The aluminum sailing yacht offers the chance to experience unique sailing adventures on the North Atlantic. Among other options, you can sail to Norway, where you’ll find numerous picturesque fjords, small fishing villages, and fantastic anchorages amidst the Scandinavian archipelago. The coastline in the far north captivates with its numerous glaciers, snow-capped mountain ridges, and incomparable flora and fauna. This lends the sailing trips a very special expedition-like character and makes sailing in Norway an unforgettable adventure. In addition to the stunning natural scenery, the major cities of the north—such as Oslo, Bergen, and Kristiansand—are also well worth a visit for their distinctive architecture.  Sailing trips on the Baltic Sea allow you to explore one of Germany’s most beautiful sailing regions aboard a modern sailing yacht. Since the Baltic Sea has no tides, it offers a varied coastline with numerous small harbors and marinas. This makes it the perfect destination for your sailing trip. The harbor in Greifswald is the ideal starting point for cruises around the island of Rügen, and a day trip to the Baltic Sea island of Bornholm is also possible.

Eldena Post Mill

Eldena Post Mill

Greifswald-Eldena

The historic post mill in Eldena invites you to experience centuries-old milling traditions up close. Explore the lovingly restored mill and learn more about the milling trade and the mill’s eventful history. The post mill in Eldena—one of the oldest windmills along the Baltic Sea coast—was first mentioned in 1533 and stands as an impressive testament to the milling history of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. After a long period of use lasting into the 1930s, the mill collapsed in 1972 due to its age. However, thanks to the tireless work of the Eldenaer Mühle e.V. support association, it was faithfully restored to its original condition. Today, the mill is a living monument to the old milling tradition. Visitors can look forward to an exciting journey into the past: they can experience the impressive mechanics and historical construction of the mill up close and learn how the milling trade was practiced back then. Regular guided tours offer interesting insights into how the mill works, and the highlight for many guests is the opportunity to try their hand at grinding grain. In addition to its technical features, the mill offers an idyllic setting in the immediate vicinity of the fishing village of Wieck and the Eldena monastery ruins, making it a popular destination for culture lovers and inviting visitors to linger thanks to the nearby restaurants along the Ryck. The mill association also organizes events and activity days to keep knowledge of this special cultural heritage alive. A visit to the Eldena post mill is an experience for the whole family that uniquely combines history, craftsmanship, and nature.
