Surfspot Wiek

The wind mecca of Germany is located high in the north of the island of Rügen and spoils you with an incredible standing area that stretches 450 meters out. The spot is recommended for south-westerly to northerly winds. You can take courses and hire equipment from the windsurfing and kitesurfing schools. Thanks to the sheltered location on Wieker Bodden, the water is as smooth as iron. Situated on Wieker Bodden and separated from the open Baltic Sea only by the small Bug peninsula, this spot is one of the windiest in the whole of Germany. To get onto the water in Wiek, you will find two separate entry areas for kiters and windsurfers. These are around 150 meters apart and are both easily accessible. You will find windsurfing and kitesurfing schools right on site and the large standing area, which is also suitable as a speed slope, is suitable for all skill levels. In some places, you should watch out for large stones in the water, as these have been known to wreck a board or two. If necessary, talk to a few people beforehand for more information. Wohlenberger Wiek surf spot

The Wohlenberger Wiek is largely a nature reserve. Nevertheless, you can really let off steam here with kites and sails. The municipality has set up a surf zone especially for this purpose. The sheltered location makes the Wohlenberger Wiek a flawless flat-water playground when the wind blows from west to northeast. Wohlenberger Wiek is part of the Bay of Wismar and is partly under strict nature protection. Thanks to the surf zone set up especially for windsurfers and kiters, this spot is nevertheless interesting for water sports enthusiasts. The sheltered location and the large standing area offer very good conditions for both beginners and professionals. Due to the course of the shore, there is also a relatively large wind radius from southwest to east. In the high season, however, many bathers are to be expected, especially in the southern part of the bay, which is why consideration must be shown. Surfspot Zierow

Just a few kilometers west of Wismar, Zierow is a shallow water area for winds from the northwest to northeast. There is even a campsite here. Attention - surfing only in the designated surf zone. Zierow is located just a few kilometers west of Wismar and can be reached quickly from there. There is a campsite on the two-kilometre stretch of coast on Eggers Wiek, which offers a range of accommodation to suit all tastes. There are also various dining and leisure options on site. Zingst surf spot

You will find the water sports zone in Zingst at beach access 6. The spot works perfectly in westerly and easterly conditions. Then you can surf relaxed between the narrow groynes out into the Baltic Sea waves in sideshore conditions. The Baltic seaside resort of Zingst with its wide range of leisure activities is a magnet for many holidaymakers, especially in the summer months. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are only permitted in designated areas, such as at beach access 6 at the surf and kite school. Surfspot Zinnowitz

Shallow water fanatics are at the wrong address in Zinnowitz. With a strong breeze from the east, first-class Baltic Sea waves roll onto the fine sandy beach. In the high season, however, you can only enjoy the spectacle outside the bathing zone due to the large number of holidaymakers. Zinnowitz is one of the most famous Baltic seaside resorts on the island of Usedom. The town is located at the northern end of an approximately one to two kilometer wide headland between the Achterwasser and the Pomeranian Bay. The popularity of the Baltic seaside resort due to its fantastic beach and good infrastructure attracts many visitors, especially in the summer months. Surfspot Ückeritz

Due to its sheltered location, shallow water enthusiasts will find fantastic conditions in Ückeritz. With a 250-metre wide standing area, the spot is also perfect for beginners. You can hire equipment at the water sports school - and get a warm shower. South to north-west winds work best, giving the wind a clear path. North and South Usedom are connected by an approximately 10-kilometre-long headland, on which the Ückeritz spot is located between the Achterwasser and the Baltic Sea. Ückeritz offers a very extensive standing area and therefore ideal conditions for learning new tricks, among other things. Water sports enthusiasts can hire equipment, take courses and even enjoy a hot shower at the sailing, surfing and kitesurfing school. However, the space available on land and at the entry point is somewhat limited, especially on good windy days. There is an alternative spot a little further south at the Stagnitz campsite. Access to this spot is directly from the campsite via small niches in the reed belt. Otherwise, the conditions there are similar to those at the surf school.
