Foundling Klink
The boulder is 4.50 m long and around 2.60 m wide. Its height is probably 2.50 m, of which about 1.70 m is above the ground. The determined circumference is about 13.20 m and the volume about 15 m³. Svantekah's Boulders
● Ruschvitz
Located between Glowe and Bobbin, the former Ruschvitz manor lies not far from the cliffs. It is one of the places where the buccaneer Klaus Störtebeker is said to have been born. The Ice Age left behind the Svantekahs—the Holy Stone—a popular subject that fascinates painters and photographers alike. The Svantekahs boulder lies directly on the Baltic Sea beach northwest of Ruschwitz. The name Svantekahs means “Holy Stone” in Old Slavic.
Boulder from Bergen
● Bergen auf Rügen
This boulder, approximately 8 m³ in volume and weighing approximately 35 t, may have been the court stone of medieval or early modern Bergen. This boulder, approximately 8 m³ in volume and weighing about 35 t, may have been the court stone of medieval or early modern Bergen. Its location within the cityscape makes this hypothesis plausible. At that time, the courthouse was located between the market square and the monastery. However, when the district court was moved from the island to the mainland in 1803, the stone fell into obscurity and was covered by new construction. It was rediscovered during construction work in 1996. Author: Dr. Katrin Staude / Archäo Tour Rügen, archaeo-tour-ruegen.de
Carwitz erratic boulder garden
It's easy to see that the Feldberg lake district was shaped by the Ice Age. However, just before Carwitz, near the border between Mecklenburg and Brandenburg, you can see something very special: a stone mammoth. Here, committed citizens have prevented an open-cast gravel mine from being built and a boulder garden has now been created in its place. Southwest of Carwitz, an open-cast gravel mine was once planned due to the amount of sand brought here by the last ice age. The sandy areas at the end of the glacial series are predestined for this and it would not have been the first in the area. However, citizens' initiatives from both federal states were able to successfully oppose the open-cast mine and have erected an erratic boulder garden on the designated site. The largest specimen is a 20-ton boulder, which from now on will act as a "guardian" over the weal and woe of the local landscape. Other boulders trace the outline of a mammoth. The origin of the boulders is explained on various information boards. The erratic boulder garden is one of many projects designed to give interested visitors an understanding of the effects of the Ice Age on the landscape. The members of the association Aufbruch Carwitz-Thomsdorf e. V. have taken on the task of designing the erratic boulder garden.

Fish-Canoe-Pass
● Fürstenberg/Havel
The fish canoe pass (canoe slide) is an adventurous attraction in Fürstenberg/Havel. Canoeists and fish can travel unhindered along an arm of the Havel from the Röblin to the Schwedtsee and vice versa. This bypasses the lock and the stretch used by motorboats. The bristle-covered pass overcomes a height difference of 1.60 m. And it's that easy: Arrive, stow your paddle, then let yourself drift through the pass with the moderate current and pick up speed again at the end of the approximately 50-metre journey using your own muscle power. You shouldn't miss out on this fun when you visit the Water City! In the opposite direction, i.e. "up the Havel", the boats can be paddled from the parallel walkway. Thanks to the fish canoe pass, the boats can land directly in the town center of Fürstenberg, where there is a water hiking rest area. It is only 50 meters to the historic market and the tourist information office.

From May to October, guests can take the ferry to Peenemünde on the island of Usedom every hour. Bicycles can also be taken on board. The harbor was renovated with EU funds between 1995 and 2005. 26 fishermen's huts were erected on the quayside. A functional building with sanitary facilities was part of the overall project. It also houses a branch office of the pilots and the German Maritime Search and Rescue Association. Adjacent are restaurants serving fish, ice cream and coffee and cake. Converted fishing boats take visitors out on the Bodden and to the island of Ruden. A bicycle and pedestrian ferry takes visitors to the island of Usedom and back. The Historical-Technical Museum in Peenemünde is well worth a visit. The Freest fishing festival takes place every year in August. You can buy fresh fish directly from the fisherman in the early morning or enjoy it on site in one of the restaurants, which offer both traditional and more unusual fish specialties. You can also gain an insight into typical regional crafts by visiting the Freest boatyard and the local museum. Freest fishing carpets The Freest fishermen's rugs, also known as "Persians of the Baltic", are a traditional handicraft product from Pomerania that was woven by women and children in fishing villages as an additional source of income, particularly during the global economic crisis of the 1920s. Each rug is unique and consists of thousands of hand-knotted knots. Route of North German Romanticism: Freet fishing village - Romantic travel An old, unpaved country road connected the towns of Wolgast, Katzow, Boltenhagen, Rappenhagen and Kemnitz. In bad weather or in winter, this road was difficult to travel. Runge therefore occasionally made his way to Ludwigsburg or Greifswald on foot. Like Caspar David Friedrich, he also passed through the fishing village of Freest, presumably during his honeymoon. Fishing played a major role here: salt huts, smokehouses and fishing nets still characterize this place today.
