Kitesurfing course Boek

Kitesurfing course Boek

This is the top spot on the Müritz - and also the only one where you are allowed to kite on the water. The small but fine sandy beach slopes so gently that the water is 500 meters deep. The southwest to north is the most fun. When it's calm, you can pass the time with beach volleyball or hire a SUP from the windsurfing school. Boek is the only town on the eastern bank of the Müritz and is located on the edge of the Müritz National Park. Nature lovers get their money's worth here and can experience varied and unique nature. In addition to the vast pine forests and large moors, the beech forests of the national park were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. The spot offers you a large standing area and therefore plenty of space on the water. There is not quite as much space on land, which is why you need to be particularly considerate of bathers and holidaymakers. A surf school is available for you at the campsite and if the wind is not so good, there are plenty of leisure activities for an exciting day on the water or on land. For kitesurfers, this spot is also the only opportunity to kite on the Müritz. An extra kite zone has been created for this purpose, which is marked with buoys. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SW to N. Facilities: Toilets, showers, waste disposal (campsite) Offer of the surf school - windsurf and SUP school, kayak rental Parking facilities

My greatest source of inspiration is the sea, whose endless expanse and dynamics fascinate me time and time again. I have been passionate about painting since my early youth. I have always enjoyed drawing. I discovered the versatility of acrylic painting through watercolor courses. Nevertheless, I don't want to commit myself to a single technique, as I appreciate the freedom of artistic creation. My greatest source of inspiration is the sea, whose endless expanse and dynamics fascinate me time and time again. Born in Elsterwerda, Brandenburg, I have developed my artistic skills over the years through numerous courses at home and abroad. I have taken part in various joint exhibitions with artists from the region and now live in Neuendorf, Saal. I also have a small gallery in my house there, which reflects my passion for art.

Climate forest biosphere reserve Schaalsee

Climate forest biosphere reserve Schaalsee

The former inner-German border strip, the "Green Belt", is virtually predestined to be further enhanced by the creation of new forest areas. It was therefore only logical to add another climate forest to the existing ones in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from summer 2010. The first planting campaign took place in April 2011. The total area consists of three parcels of land, two of which were reforested as part of the planting campaign with the Schwerin energy supplier WEMAG. Here in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve climate forest, initial planting was carried out on around 34 hectares of fallow farmland with pedunculate and sessile oaks as the main tree species combined with hornbeams and small-leaved lime trees and other deciduous trees suitable for the site. The plan is for the forest to develop in free succession on around half of the area. For ecological reasons, the forest will not be used for forestry purposes. In the long term, the stands will develop into species- and structure-rich natural forests with a high proportion of deadwood. The monastery complex is a place for disabled people to live and work, so there are public and private areas. Visit Public areas that can be visited during the day without prior arrangement are the monastery store in the cloister, the outdoor facilities, the candle-making area, the second-hand store and the brewery. Exceptions are guided tours by appointment. All other areas and buildings of the monastery are residential areas and therefore not open to the public. The monastery complex is surrounded by a park with ancient trees. These include 450-year-old English oaks, 300-year-old ash trees and copper beeches. Church: The single-nave church from the 14th century was given its striking twin towers in the 19th century according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It is the only twin-towered church in Mecklenburg.
