It began in 1990 with 2 Merino sheep, followed by Heidschnucken, Jacob sheep, Skudden and Ouessant sheep. The petting zoo "Am Storchennest" was founded in 1993. A poultry farm was established in 1995. Inspired by a map from 1648, our facility was renamed again in 2000. The pet farm "Am BarsSee" is located in Rambow Hof on an area of 2 hectares between Waren and Teterow in Mecklenburg Switzerland on a terminal moraine. These are old breeds that no longer perform according to current standards and are therefore no longer kept. These breeds represent a rare cultural asset that must be preserved. The range is rounded off with the guinea pigs Cuy (South American giant guinea pigs) and "Swiss Teddy", pheasants, waterfowl, wild fowl and parakeets. The donkeys Emely and Mäxchen are especially happy to welcome children. The zoo is open all year round. It is advisable to book in advance, as the zoo tries to show all visitors around personally. There is a parking lot in front of the property. Access is via the A 19, exit "Waren". From Waren take the B 108 in the direction of Teterow. At the entrance to Moltzow turn right towards Rambow. Hedge garden
📍 Schwerin
The hedge garden in Schwerin's southern palace park is a garden that has been preserved from BUGA 2009. Originally designed as a showcase for garden planting ideas, it is reminiscent of labyrinths and mazes from courtly parks. In the immediate vicinity are the Temple of Youth, a restaurant and the Schleifmühle Foam Museum. The hedge garden takes up the tradition of mazes from historical horticulture. Labyrinths served to amuse park visitors, created new perspectives, led them astray and to romantic, dreamy places. In addition, the former Buga show garden shows ideas for your own garden design, for garden boundaries and the creation of small secret garden corners. Different types of hedges - flowering and green - repeatedly create small spaces and oases of greenery.

Museum of Local History Hiddensee
📍 Kloster
The local history museum is one of the cultural attractions on the island of Hiddensee. Redesigned a few years ago, the permanent exhibition provides a comprehensive and vivid account of life on the island. An insight into life on the island The Hiddensee local history museum is located directly on the west beach of Kloster. It was built around 1890 as a sea rescue station, but for almost 70 years now the old rescue equipment has only been part of the museum. In the permanent exhibition, which was redesigned a few years ago, visitors of all ages can find out how hard the islanders' lives used to be, how seafaring and fishing shaped everyday life, but also how quickly tourism reduced their worries and brought many prominent guests to the island. The most valuable exhibit in the exhibition is a replica of the Hiddensee gold treasure. The original of Germany's largest Viking gold find is in the possession of the Stralsund Museum. A small highlight of the museum visit for many guests is the "Amber Room". The extensive collection of the amber fisherman Ingolf Engels contains wonderful pieces and shows very nicely how diverse the "gold of the Baltic Sea" can be. Zingst local history museum with museum courtyard
📍 Seeheilbad Zingst
An old captain's house and a transparent extension - the Zingster Museum is a modern place to experience history. Clearly laid out and charming, it tells the story of the lives of the local coastal inhabitants: how clipper ships became circumnavigators, how a cradle saved lives and how the Baltic Sea waves song really came about. At the same time, the house offers art experiences in changing exhibitions in a small gallery and in the outdoor area. Maritime literature is available in a small library and there is a museum quiz for schoolchildren. There are also guided tours and lecture evenings in a feel-good atmosphere. The museum courtyard is often a hive of activity from Easter to Advent. In summer, the music pavilion becomes a concert stage, and every Thursday (Easter to October), traders offer regional products. The organic food store on the farm sells "Gaude Kost" almost every day. The Müller bakery produces specialties such as Zingster Urbrot. It is also tempting to have breakfast on the terrace on a sunny morning or enjoy coffee and cake in the "Alt Zingst" café. Visitors can create their own souvenirs with beach finds and other materials in the Pommernstube, where courses and workshops are also held. The museum barn serves as an event venue and registry office and is sometimes transformed into a workshop for young and old alike. Old gravestones and "Darß doors" from Zingst lean against its gables. Vegetables, herbs and flowers grow in the farm garden behind the barn. Old farming tools are reminiscent of times when farming was still small-scale and worked without high-tech. The Zingst museum farm has a lot to offer. Visitors can tour it and the museum free of charge.

They enjoyed a ride with friends and relatives, elegant picnics, the gentle breeze and the fresh air, without having to leave the comfort of the nearby city too far behind. Stavenhagen Historical Market
The historic market square forms the heart of the Reuterstadt Stavenhagen and is a central meeting point for residents and visitors alike. It is closely linked to the life and work of the famous Low German poet Fritz Reuter, whose birthplace is located directly on the market square. Today, this building houses the Fritz Reuter Literature Museum, which commemorates the life and work of the writer and is also an important cultural attraction in the town. The market square looks back on a long history and continues to shape the townscape with its historical character. Over the years, the square has been redesigned several times to adapt it to modern requirements without losing its original charm. The extensive renovation in 1995, during which the traditional large stone paving and the Reuter monument were preserved, was particularly influential. This made it possible to preserve the historical reference and at the same time create a new quality of stay. As part of the 750th anniversary of the town in 2014, the market square was once again upgraded. Since then, a newly designed green area and seating have contributed to an inviting townscape. In addition, the square has been made barrier-free in recent years so that people with limited mobility can also use it without any problems. Today, the market square presents itself as the lively center of Stavenhagen - surrounded by buildings that shape the cityscape and lovingly restored facades. It is not only the venue for numerous cultural events and markets, but also a meeting place that impressively combines past and present.

Hospitaller Bastion
Since 1886, the war memorial has commemorated those from Stralsund who fell in the Prussian-German wars. Before that, the bastion was used as a parade ground. When the Swedes came to power in 1648, the expansion of the town fortifications began with 14 bastions and other fortification systems. A contract concluded on January 13, 1879 between the state of Prussia and the town regulated the transfer of part of the military property to Stralsund, which included the bastions as well as the town walls, town ponds, bridges and individual houses.
