Lesser spotted eagle course

Or simply go in search of the eagle yourself! With the help of installed binoculars, children can do this from April to September. The trail is free of charge, freely accessible all year round and designed to be exciting for children and adults alike. You are also welcome to take part in guided tours. Since 2022, there has also been a new nature trail to discover behind the forestry office. In the so-called "Müß" - a natural forest that is left to develop naturally - a path with 7 different stations leads through the world of tree species. The Schuenhagen forestry office, which covers an area of almost 20,000 hectares and is located between Ribnitz-Damgarten and Stralsund, is home to a significant number of lesser spotted eagles throughout Germany. Germany's smallest eagle still feels at home in the dense forests of the "Nordvorpommersche Waldlandschaft". Here it can raise its young in peace and catch mice and frogs in the surrounding meadows. The Schuenhagen Forestry Office has been supporting the chance.natur project "Nordvorpommersche Waldlandschaft" (North West Pomeranian Forest Landscape) from the very beginning, which has set itself the task of preserving this special animal species and protecting its habitat. Schulkamp plant Teterow

There were fields and gardens on the site of today's Schulkamp until the 19th century. They belonged to the endowment of the Fiedler School Foundation (Felix Fiedler 1661-1705 pastor in Teterow) and were leased to the town. The rent was used to support poor pupils. The school buildings on Schulkamp were built at the end of the 19th century, apart from an extension. Today, the elementary school of the town of Teterow is housed in two buildings. The former "Clock School" is used for artistic purposes and is also known as the "House of Muses". The Teterow branch of the Rostock district music school can be found here. There is also a theater hall and a creative workshop. The "gray" school is a branch of the Teterow City Museum and currently serves as a warehouse. The Pastor-Fiedler-Haus, also located on Schulkamp, was once the town's first kindergarten.

Swan Pond Park

Schwanenteichpark, Rostock Designed in 1937 by City Parks Superintendent Alfred Jahr. Historic landmark. Pond, Japanese garden, art gallery (rotating exhibitions). Part of the grounds is used as an exhibition space. Renovated in 2001.

Black Lake (Granitz)

The Black Lake on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen is part of the Sellin district and is located in the Granitz forest and nature reserve. The lake covers an area of 23 hectares and its greatest depth is 15 meters. The height of the lake level above sea level is 54.2 meters above sea level. The nutrient-poor lake belongs to a very rare type of water body, the so-called kettle lake. Intermediate moorland and raised bogs form around the edges. In part, there is oscillating blanket vegetation. Cotton grass, peat moss, cranberry, feverfew and rosemary heather can be found here. The entire lake, the existing moors at the edge and a 100-metre-wide strip of forest surrounding the lake are designated as a core zone (total reserve) of the South-East Rügen Biosphere Reserve. However, the lake is accessible to hikers and cyclists via the hiking trail leading from Binz to Sellin. You can reach the lake via a small wooden footbridge.

Schwedenmühle, Anklam

The Schwedenmühle Anklam, a historic Dutch-style windmill built in 1726, has been undergoing restoration by the Schwedenmühle Anklam e.V. association since 2006. Discover a unique gathering place steeped in history. The Anklam Swedish Mill, built in 1726, is one of the oldest Dutch-style windmills in the region and tells a long and eventful story. It is located on the Peenedamm, which was under Swedish rule until 1815, while Anklam was Prussian. Originally leased by miller Christian Pape, the mill soon became a regional landmark and even housed a courtroom that was used during the period of Swedish rule. In 1872, Hermann Wessel modernized the mill and introduced innovative technologies. In 1880, a wind vane was installed that automatically turned the mill cap into the wind, which made the work considerably easier. Later, sails with louvers were added to better control the wind. However, in 1922 the windmill was finally shut down, and by 1958 the sails and the mill cap had disappeared due to disrepair. The mill was inhabited by the family of the last miller until 2003. After years of decay, the Schwedenmühle Anklam e.V. association was founded in 2006 to save the historic mill. With the support of donations and historic preservation funds, emergency stabilization of the mill began. In 2008, the first stabilization work was carried out, and the dry rot infestation was eliminated. Thanks to dedicated volunteers, such as the Vetter family, who donated two linden trees, and the Hagemann company, which planted them, the mill’s historic appearance was partially restored. In 2015, donations and grants made it possible to renovate the mill tower. Today, the association strives to develop the mill into a meeting place for locals and visitors alike. The Anklam Swedish Mill is an impressive testament to mill history and a place of cultural exchange.

The Hullerbusch sheep farm is located in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park, between the steep banks of the Zansen and Schmalen Luzin rivers. Here we take care of the landscape with our rough-wool Pomeranian sheep in the most natural way. We offer meat and wool products from our animals in our farm store. In the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park, between the steep banks of the Zansen and the Schmal Luzin, lie the pastures and the farmstead of the Hullerbusch sheep farm. Our sheep and goats feed all year round on the herb-rich pastures in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park. In the nature reserves of Hauptmannsberg and Schmaler Luzin, we thus maintain the landscape. We grow our own winter fodder (hay and grain) on our land. The lambs therefore thrive almost without concentrated feed; we do not use intensive fattening. This is why the lambs grow slowly and develop dark, mature, aromatic meat - you can taste it! In our farm store you can see, touch, smell, taste and of course buy many of the results of our work and that of other organic and small farms. We have fresh lamb for you from our own slaughterhouse, as well as sheep and goat sausage and ham. We process some of our sheep's wool into knitting wool, socks, wool pile vests and soft toys. We buy other wool products such as felt slippers, felt soles, slippers, fur shoes, gloves and soap for you to round off our range. In front of our small farm store you will find a few nice places to relax and linger. You can also enjoy a snack here. And of course there's coffee and tea, perhaps accompanied by goat's milk ice cream or a slice of cake. We also have lamb solyanka and lamb wiener for you.

Ahlbeck pier

The Ahlbeck pier is considered the landmark of the island of Usedom and, like most of the nearby spa architecture villas, dates back to the century before last. Built in 1898, the "centenary" with its red roof, four green towers and 280-metre-long jetty is the only remaining pier of its kind on the German Baltic coast. Loriot also used this very special place for his film "Pappa ante Portas". In addition to a restaurant, it also offers a landing stage for excursion boats. Every year in July, the Ahlbeck Summer Festival and the Long Night of Music take place on the concert square and on Ahlbeck's promenade. Visitors can look forward to various regional and national bands, a fire show, a hands-on circus for children and a historical swimwear show.

Graal-Müritz pier

The Graal-Müritz pier is 350 m long and was inaugurated on April 10, 1993. From here you can take the MS Baltica to Warnemünde. The Graal-Müritz pier is an attraction for every visitor to Graal-Müritz. From here you can set sail on the MS Baltica. In the evening hours, anglers like to take possession of it. To commemorate the inauguration day, the municipality celebrates an annual pier festival with fireworks in July.

Koserow pier

The new Koserow pier extends 280m into the Baltic Sea in the shape of a wave. Opened in 2021, it offers 2 large platforms that invite you to sit, enjoy and breathe in the Baltic Sea air. They can also be used as a sunset cinema. There are benches to linger on both platforms as well as on the 280-metre-long bridge itself. At least eight swivel beach chairs will soon be installed on it. The large open spaces can be used as a sunset cinema, but also for smaller concerts. The bridge railing is illuminated with LED strips so that the wooden wave is also an eye-catcher at night. And because the word "experience" unites all the senses, there is a small but fine wine and cocktail bar on the bridgehead in a specially converted Ape to delight the palate and throat. Koserow has also created a link to the Vineta saga. A bell tower was erected on the bridgehead to remind visitors of the legend by ringing the "Vineta" bells on Easter Sunday, which says: "If you are a Sunday child, you can see the town of Vineta rise from the sea on Easter Sunday". The bells originally came from a church in Lower Saxony. However, as many guests had expressed the wish for the bells to ring more frequently, they now ring out every Wednesday at 4 pm following the telling of the Vineta legend. Every bridge needs a little art, says Nadine Riethdorf (Koserow's spa director), referring to the latest addition to Koserow, a statue made of Corten steel. The Kühlungsborn pier was officially opened on October 3, 1991 in the presence of over 3,000 people. It is the first pier in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to be completed after reunification. With a length of 240 meters, the entire seaside of Kühlungsborn and the surrounding area can be seen, making it one of the most popular sights in the Baltic seaside resort. The pier is also a popular spot for anglers.

With a length of 330 meters, it is the longest pier on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast and offers a view of Wismar Bay with the island of Poel, the fishing village of Hoben and the port of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. The pier was inaugurated in October 1993.

Zingst pier

Zingst - a vacation paradise on the Baltic Sea! The 270 m long pier is a popular attraction for guests. Discover the Baltic Sea from above and below - this is possible in the Baltic Sea spa resort of Zingst. Active people stroll along the 270 m long and 2.50 m wide pier and take in the blue sea from above. The soothing Baltic Sea air is simply wonderful and a real health booster. Add to that a little cooling off in the water or a soothing sunbath - that's pure vacation feeling. Simply dive down and take in the Baltic Sea from the depths - thanks to the diving gondola at the end of the pier, this is possible. Since June 2013, it has offered enough space for up to 30 people to experience a unique dive in the Baltic Sea. Sipping a cocktail or enjoying a delicious snack or tasty meal in the immediate vicinity of the pier is also possible. Also right next door is the Kurhaus with tourist information, Kurhaus restaurant and photo exhibitions. The current pier was inaugurated in May 1993. The diving gondola at the head of the 315-meter-long pier offers you the opportunity to take a dry-footed dive into the Baltic Sea and get to know the habitat beneath the waves. As early as 1897, a jetty was built in Zinnowitz to transport tourists by boat as part of the developing resort traffic. The pier was built in 1908. After the Second World War, it was demolished due to weathering damage. In autumn 1993, the current pier, which measures 315 meters, was inaugurated. It bears the name Vineta. At the end of the pier is the diving gondola, which invites you to take a special kind of underwater walk. During the 30-minute journey to the seabed, visitors gain an interesting insight into the Baltic Sea habitat. The staff provide information about the Baltic Sea, its inhabitants and their need for protection and explain the creatures that can be observed depending on visibility and the time of year, e.g. tiny green algae, jellyfish, shrimps and sometimes fish.

Seebühne Hiddensee

The summer venue for the whole family. The Seebühne Hiddensee was founded in 1998 as a summer venue for the Homunkulus Figurentheater Berlin. It was refounded as a maritime chamber theater in 2004.
