Bützow, in the homeland of the Obotrites, is a small town with a great past. It was first mentioned in a document in 1229 and was the capital of the diocese of Schwerin for centuries. Bützow was once the seat of a bishop, a university town and the seat of the criminal court. Wilhelm Raabe created a lasting literary monument to the town with his novella "The Geese of Bützow", based on the goose war fought between the magistrate and the townspeople. The ensemble of the market square with the Tudor-style town hall built in 1849 and the 13th century collegiate church, which was declared a monument of national importance in 2007, is of cultural and historical interest. In the history-steeped Krumme Haus, visitors encounter history in stories, letters and figures, facts and myths, united as a friendly combination of the local history museum, the library and the documentation on the political abuse of the penal system in Bützow. Café 7 - Farm store & cultural café

Café 7 is a colorful organic culture café and the farm store of the SiebenGiebelHof. Here you can fill your pockets with farm produce after enjoying the Italian coffee specialties and home-baked cakes: Preferred milk, yogurt, cheese, quark, sausage, meat and wood-fired bread. Organic food is also on offer. Café 7 is located directly halfway between Hamburg and Berlin on the A24 (Suckow exit) and is the SiebenGiebelHof's cultural café and farm store. Behind the farm, 20 red-colored cows graze on 40 hectares of meadows and provide delicious milk, which is processed into dairy products in the farm's own raw milk cheese dairy. The grain for the wood-fired oven bakery grows on a further 50 hectares of arable land. A handful of Angler saddleback pigs utilize the whey and cleaned grain produced during the cheese-making process. The quark, yoghurt, cheese and wood-fired bread taste like they used to, because they are original and made with great care without unnecessary ingredients. The Landbau Gemeinschaft, the non-profit cultural association, ensures that there is always something going on in the cultural calendar of events at www.siebengiebelhof.de with concerts, readings, theater and workshops. Shopping at Café 7 is an evening adventure: children love it, as there is usually time to take a tour of the calf barn, watch the cats play, feed the piglets and cuddle Chou Hei, the loyal farm dog. The owner, Katinka Hartmann, offers Italian coffee specialties, homemade cakes and a weekly changing snack menu. The extensive range also includes everyday goods, all of which are organic! Café 7 has 40 seats, a stage with lighting system, a mixer and speakers as well as a projector and a screen. The outdoor area has an additional 24 seats. These facilities can be used for private events. Café 7 is barrier-free. There are board games and toys for children. The SiebenGiebelHof works according to Demeter guidelines. Opening hours Café 7 is regularly open Thursday - Sunday from 11 am - 7 pm. On Sundays we watch Tatort together. If you come to Café 7 as a guest, you leave as a friend. The café is right next to the paddocks, from where you can watch horses being prepared for riding lessons. Those interested in culture will also get their money's worth: Small events, such as piano concerts or readings, take place in the café at irregular intervals. Embedded in the Zislow horse farm, the café is the ideal place to relax - whether between various activities on the farm or for parents who want to enjoy a cup of coffee during their children's riding lessons. The horse farm itself offers a wide range of horse-related leisure activities: riding lessons, pony rides, rides and courses are all part of the program. The facility includes several paddocks, an indoor riding arena (40 × 20 m) with boxes and two outdoor riding arenas, some with jumps.
