The Sankt Johannis church is located in the center of Neubrandenburg and has a rich tradition of church music. Alongside the Concert Church, St. John's Church is one of the largest historic churches in Neubrandenburg. In addition to the extensive parish work, there are numerous choirs and a long tradition of varied concerts.
Sommersdorf Church

The church was built in the 17th century—probably on the site of an earlier structure—of fieldstone mixed with brick and featuring an eastern half-timbered gable on a roughly square floor plan. The western gable was rebuilt around 1900. The church has three relatively small segmental-arch windows on each long side and two on the east wall.
Strasen church

Church in Strasen The church in Strasen was built between 1782 and 1784. Due to its atypical construction, you would never think it was a church at first glance. In 1969, the half-timbered tower was also removed due to dilapidation. The wooden Baroque pulpit altar has a very plastic-like appearance due to its whitish to yellowish hue. There is an organ on the gallery, which is very dark in color.
Wittenhagen Church

The present church dates from 1758. It is built of hewn rock. The so-called Cyclopean masonry is 1.60 m thick. What makes this church unique is its floor plan, which is a regular octagon with an interior diameter of 10.25 m. After the church had been left to near ruin, it was completely renovated in 1992. The interior was designed so that the white walls and the central placement of the altar and crucifix foster a focus on devotion, silence, prayer, and the proclamation of the Gospel. Noteworthy is the preserved iron bell with a hand pull, which survived all wars unscathed and is therefore a rarity in its form. The church has a hipped roof and boasts impressive acoustics inside the building. Here, every song becomes an experience. The church is open year-round, and services are held regularly during the summer months.

Dambeck Church Ruins

The Dambeck church ruin (near Röbel/Müritz) was built around 1180 as an early Christian fortified church made entirely of granite stones. It is the oldest in southern Mecklenburg. The Förderverein Kirchenruine Dambeck e.V. (Friends of the Dambeck Church Ruins) was founded in 2014 and has raised a total of €364,000 over the past 10 years. These funds come from the EU (LEADER), the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Nordkirche, the German Foundation for Monument Protection, and others. Thanks to numerous donations (Müritzsparkasse, N. Backhaus Schloss Leizen, Agrar-GmbH Minzow, etc.) to contribute an additional 27,500 €. This enabled the church ruins to be renovated, secured, and restored to a dignified condition in three construction phases. Visitors can now safely enter the site and view this truly unique building. On June 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., the completion of the construction work will be celebrated with an open-air concert in the ruins of the nave, followed by refreshments. This was made possible once again by the support of the MV Volunteer Foundation. During events, the choir loft—which has been re-roofed—is always open to visitors, who are given a brief guided tour there. The Massow parish’s traditional annual Pentecost Sunday service takes place there. In addition, two baptismal services have already been held there.
Schorssow Church Ruins

A hidden ruin on the shore of Schorssow House Lake. The former fieldstone church was built in the 14th century. Between 1533 and 1540, an inheritance dispute between Knight Bernd Maltzahn of Penzlin and Wolde, as well as Lüdecke Maltzan of Osten, against Vollrath Preen led to the destruction of the church. The reason for this is unknown. In 2001 and 2002, the church ruins were restored. The park and the area surrounding the church hill were also given a dignified appearance. A new belfry was erected next to the church ruins. The Bachert bell foundry in Heilbronn cast a bell weighing 350 kg. The bell was consecrated on September 8, 2002.

Over these three days, I will be demonstrating the process of transforming clay into finished tableware in my workshop through live pottery demonstrations and raku firing in the afternoons. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try their hand at the potter’s wheel.
Müritz climbing forest

The Müritz climbing forest in Waren (Müritz) offers adventure seekers of all ages an exciting experience in the midst of nature. Covering an area of over 3 hectares, the climbing route is around 2 kilometers long and has 9 courses of varying difficulty. These courses have names such as "Greenhorn", "Robin Hood", "Black Widow" or "K2" and include over 100 climbing elements such as ladders, climbing walls, slides and barrels, which provide thrills at heights of up to 15 meters. Great importance is attached to the safety of visitors in the Müritz climbing forest. Before starting, each participant receives a thorough briefing from experienced trainers who explain how to use the climbing equipment and how to secure themselves. Trained staff are on site throughout the entire visit to ensure that safety standards are adhered to and to provide support if necessary. Children may climb from a height of 1.25 meters. Children up to the age of 13 must be accompanied by a climbing parent or guardian, while teenagers up to the age of 16 must be accompanied on the ground. Young people up to the age of 18 require written permission from their parents.

The rustic monastery store is located in the former granary building of the Dargun monastery and castle complex. We stock regional products, handicrafts and specialties from our own production as well as from the region. Souvenirs and small gifts for your loved ones or yourself are guaranteed to be found here. Wild boar salami, chutneys, spices, handmade chocolate truffles - the Darguner Klostervogt has a wide range of regional products. If you like, you can book a table in the bright and comfortably furnished vaulted room above the store and sample a selection of the numerous specialties. The Klostervogt will cater to the wishes of his guests. It is ideal to combine the tasting with a guided tour of the monastery and castle grounds or a visit to the lovingly maintained museum on the grounds. During these culinary tours, guests slip into the role of the former Cistercian monks themselves and embark on an entertaining and wholesome journey through time. These group events for up to 24 people are individually tailored to the visitors and must be booked in advance. Browsing and shopping in the monastery store is possible daily from 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm.
Neubrandenburg Concert Church

As a concert church, St. Mary’s Church offers a unique contrast—from a sublime acoustic experience to a remarkable architectural one. Outside: a Gothic brick church. Inside: a concert hall made of glass, concrete, steel, and wood. Construction began in the early 13th century as a fieldstone structure; in 1298, St. Mary’s Church was consecrated by the Bishop of Havelberg. It was almost completely destroyed during World War II and has been owned by the city since 1975. In 2001, the building was inaugurated as a concert hall with a performance by the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic. The design is by Finnish architect Pekka Salminen. The building has remained a historic landmark of the city, though its use has changed. Whether it’s a philharmonic concert, opera, musical, ballet, reading, or recital—all genres find a unique performance atmosphere and their own special acoustics here. In June 2007, a permanent special exhibition titled “Paths to Brick Gothic—Defense and Decoration in Neubrandenburg” opened in the tower of the Konzertkirche. Since July 2017, the “Queen of Instruments”—a new organ with 2,852 pipes—has played a key role in shaping the concert program. The climb up to the balustrade via the belfry offers an impressive view of the “City of Four Gates” on Lake Tollense.

Kunsthaus Frank Kamp

The creative potential in the cultural sector and the scenic conditions in the Tollensetal offer a variety of opportunities to preserve and promote art, culture and monument protection in sustainable educational work. The artist Frank Kamp (1961-2020) bequeathed his house and artistic legacy to the association on the condition that the house and grounds be made permanently accessible as a public cultural site. There are many people living in the region who are artistically active in various ways. With the Kunsthaus, we offer an intimate platform for all kinds of art. This includes lectures on various topics, readings and poetry slams - a stage on a small scale, even for beginners. Works of art by regional artists will find their place in an exhibition. The offer also applies to "newcomers" who have not yet had the opportunity to show their work in order to draw attention to their creations. The Kunsthaus is also offered as a place for artists in residence. The well-equipped studio enables a variety of artistic work in the tranquillity of the village of Wietzow.

The Kunsthaus platform aims to help overcome the fear of becoming creative. It offers everyone the opportunity to enter into a creative process that can consist of discovering and developing their artistic potential, becoming artistically active, developing projects and using the Kunsthaus platform to present these projects in the public space. Kunsthaus Neustrelitz e.V., based at Schloßstraße 2 in Neustrelitz, was founded in 2007 and has since acted as a sponsor of projects worthy of support in the fields of media / film / theater, visual and applied arts.
Remplin Art Chapel

The Remplin Art Chapel is located in the historic village of Remplin on the B 104 federal road between Teterow and Malchin. In the Remplin Art Chapel you will find a deconsecrated Baroque-style chapel in half-timbered construction with a mansard roof and lantern from the 17th century. It was built on the foundations of a collapsed manor chapel from the 16th century and was designed as a chapel within the large castle ensemble. After its construction, however, it was repurposed as a storage room for agricultural equipment and as a stable. In the years that followed, it was used for various purposes. In the last years of the GDR, for example, it was used as a gymnasium. After that, an antique shop was established here. This resulted in changes to the interior that are still visible today. A gallery of paintings by contemporary artists and a small café have now moved in. There are sculptures, fountains and other art objects around the chapel.
Neubrandenburg Art Collection

The Neubrandenburg Art Collection is the only museum of 20th- and 21st-century visual arts in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district. It features two exhibition floors in an accessible, air-conditioned Baroque building with a new wing. The two permanent exhibitions on the upper floor are on view year-round. The exhibition *The Municipal Art Collection (1890–1945)* is on view in the cabinet. The Municipal Art Collection owes its founding in 1890 to Henry Stoll; it was significantly expanded in 1911 by August Schmidt. In 1920, the Municipal Art Collection moved into the south wing of the Ducal Palace. At the end of April 1945, this palace burned to the ground. Most of the art treasures were presumably moved to a safe location shortly before the fire; their whereabouts remain unknown to this day. In 2006, archaeological excavations on the market square uncovered around 150 mostly shattered porcelain pieces and fragments of small bronze sculptures that had survived the fire and the collapse of the palace. Several pieces, including numerous charming porcelain figurines from Meissen, have already been restored. Since its reestablishment in 1982, a collection of contemporary German art has been built up, comprising some 7,500 works. The collection is dominated by works of high sensual and symbolic expression, characterized by a painterly refinement. Currently on view in the exhibition *Der glückliche Griff* are paintings, objects, and sculptures by, among others, Theo Balden, Jürgen Brodwolf, Angela M. Flaig, Wieland Förster, Bernd Hahn, Veit Hofmann, Hans Jüchser, Konrad Knebel, Bernd Kommnick, Michael Morgner, Herta Müller, Max Neumann, Otto Niemeyer-Holstein, Theodor Rosenhauer, Daniel Spoerri, Werner Stötzer, Strawalde, Karlheinz Wenzel, and Michael Wirkner. The ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions featuring primarily contemporary artists.

Malchower See health clinic

Our clinic is located in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District, directly on Lake Malchow and in the center of forests and lakes. Since opening in 1997, it has established itself as a rehabilitation center for orthopaedics and internal medicine. There is a bus stop in front of the building, which is served by the Malchow Shuttle four times a day from April to October. Destinations are Laschendorf, Untergöhren, Göhren-Lebbin, Penkow, Roez and the bus stops in the island town of Malchow. A landing stage on the shore allows passengers to board one of the boat tours on Lake Fleesensee and Lake Malchow. During your stay you can always enjoy the water as well as Malchow's cultural and leisure activities.
