Teterow hill climb
The 1,877 m long course, with gradients of up to 22%, huge "jumps" and difficult bends, demands the utmost courage and skill from the riders. The roar of engines and the smell of methanol, plus the lovely, gently undulating landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland. In Teterow, these are no contradictions. For almost 90 years now, the race on the Teterow Bergring has become an annual tradition at Whitsun. Once you have fallen under the spell of this unique motorsport facility, you will never let go. Famous racing drivers such as the Australian Roy East and the Englishmen Donald Godden and Simon Wigg have even described it as the best grass track in the world, and they should know. Motorsport fans' eyes light up every year as top-class races are on the program. In addition to the traditional Bergring race at Whitsun, fans can look forward to a series of first-class speedway events in the Bergring Arena right next door. And, of course, fans of the Rust'n'Dust Jalopy - the unique combination of hillclimb and dirt track for American cars built up to 1959 - will also get their money's worth in summer. Bernstein Gallery E
The Amber Gallery E stands for modern amber jewelry, decorations and everyday objects. In May 2002, Uta Erichson opened the Bernstein Galerie E in Ribnitz-Damgarten, which stands for modern design and individual customer service. We present you amber from its most beautiful side. Many artists work with the "gold of the sea" and use it to create unique pieces of jewelry, sculptures and other objects. Through this collaboration with international artists, Uta Erichson continues to create the exclusive variety that makes the gallery so unique. In 2009, she took a big step and acquired the Original Fischlandschmuck brand, bringing the traditional brand back to its place of origin after more than 60 years. Today, this tradition is being continued. Fischlandschmuck is made according to Kramer's old designs in the company's own goldsmith's and amber-cutting workshop. We also design other pieces of gold and silver jewelry according to individual customer wishes, carry out repairs and give old pieces of jewelry a new shine. A visit is worthwhile! We look forward to seeing you. Online store: www.bernsteingalerie-shop.de

Bertha Klingberg sculpture
An old lady cast in bronze sits smiling on the former entrance square to Buga 2009, with a bouquet of flowers in her lap and a watering can next to her. This is how the people of Schwerin knew her, their Bertha Klingberg, who was made an honorary citizen of the Mecklenburg state capital in 2002. Bertha Klingberg was born in Hamburg in 1898, but grew up in Bützow with her grandparents. She was often in Schwerin at this time. Her love of flowers and nature also took the then ten-year-old to the castle gardens in Schwerin, where she met the Grand Duke. He was taken with the little girl and allowed her to visit the palace garden whenever she wanted. She later moved to Schwerin completely. Today, she sits smiling on the wall on the shore of the castle lake and looks out over the square named after her, as if she had guessed that she would one day receive so much honor. For decades, Bertha Klingberg had done nothing but sell flowers in Schwerin's old town. She always did this in the traditional Rehna costume. When she launched the petition "Our Schwerin must become the state capital" in 1990 at the age of 91, she had not only won the hearts of the 17,000 signatories. She had long been regarded as a Schwerin original because of her appearance. She died in 2005 at the age of 107. Her greatest wish, to open the 2009 Federal Garden Show, was no longer fulfilled. Instead, a life-size monument was erected to her in June 2010 - a bronze sculpture by sculptor Bernd Streiter.

Beaver raft on the Peene
A voyage of discovery on the Peene An untouched natural environment awaits you, with many opportunities for individual tourists. Whether nature lover, angler or family, the Peene, Lake Kummerow, the Trebel and the countless peat bogs offer unforgettable experiences for everyone in one of Europe's last natural paradises. The course of the Peene is completely unspoiled in its primeval valley and leads from its sources directly into the Baltic Sea. There are no weirs or locks to disturb you as you navigate the Peene and take in its leisurely course with almost no current. This is another reason why you can marvel at the unique flora and fauna in this unique nature reserve in Germany. Many plant and animal species can only be found here. Despite the small number of places on the river, the region along the course of the river holds many testimonies and small signs of the history of settlement. Starting with the Slavic Obodrites, to whom many places still owe their name, Vikings, Saxons and Christian missionaries met more or less peacefully. The influence of the Hanseatic League and later the Swedish and French occupations of Western Pomerania alternated with a more peaceful Prussian period, which ushered in a new wave of settlers from Hesse, Swabia and Westphalia in the fertile glacial valley in the 20th century. Even the GDR can still be seen here and there as a museum or tractor in the meadows. Recreation on the Peene is an active, self-designed vacation. Perhaps one of the last real nature adventures for families and travelers who are looking for biologically clean water, fresh air and proximity to animals and vegetation away from the tourist strongholds. Take time for the Peene and you will take time for yourself!

Billroth House in Bergen on Rügen
The famous surgeon Theodor Billroth was once born in the Billroth House in Bergen. The house was built in 1800 as a town house. Theodor Billroth was born here in 1829. After spending the first 3 years of his childhood here, he lived in Greifswald. After working in Göttingen and Berlin, Billroth was appointed Professor of Surgery in Zurich in 1859. Billroth's main achievement was the development of new surgical methods for gastric resections (first performed at the University of Vienna in 1881). The creation of "medical charts" can also be attributed to him. He was one of the most outstanding surgeons of his time. In 1892, while he was still alive, he was honored with a bronze memorial plaque. In 1998, the German Society of Surgery took over the building in recognition of Theodor Billroth's achievements in surgery. Billroth died in 1894 and was buried in Vienna. The premises are open to the public for the "Billroth's House Concert" event.
Inland dune Klein Schmölen
There are not many natural elevations in the Elbe valley floodplain, which should certainly please cyclists. This makes the inland dunes at Klein Schmölen near Dömitz, which can be seen from afar from the Elbe riverbank road, all the more interesting. The largest inland dune in Europe rises impressively on the edge of the Mecklenburg Elbe Valley Nature Park. From its highest point, around 42 meters above sea level, visitors have a magnificent view over the Löcknitz lowlands in Mecklenburg, the Lenzener Wische in Brandenburg and the Elbe foreland on the Lower Saxony side. The fascinating dune complex, which is a good two kilometers long, was formed at the end of the last ice age, around 12,000 years ago. Special climatic and very different soil conditions have allowed an extremely diverse plant world to develop here, which in turn provides a habitat for rare and protected species of birds and insects. The dune can be walked through on designated paths, and information boards along the way provide information about the special features of the geological formation. Guided tours are also offered on a regular basis.

Organic farm Hoher Schönberg
Organic farm "Hof Hoher Schönberg" with arable, oilseed and horticulture as well as livestock farming, managed in an organic or biodynamic, original, artisanal way and partly according to historical models (museum farm). A special branch of the business: an oil mill. We sell in our own organic farm store. The organic farm "Hof Hoher Schönberg" is situated in a secluded location in the Klützer Winkel in Northwest Mecklenburg, close to the Baltic Sea. The former leasehold farm from 1860 includes around 25 hectares of land in a rounded location. We manage the farm with arable, oilseed and horticulture as well as livestock farming in an organic or biodynamic, original, artisanal way and partly according to historical models (Mueseumsbauernhof). This means that our animals are kept in the traditional way and we produce all our own feed, such as hay, straw, beet and grain. As a special branch of our business, we operate an oil mill and use a specially developed process to press vegetable oils rich in nutrients in nutritionally high-quality organic raw food quality. Some of the pressed oilseeds, kernels and nuts come directly from the organic farm's own cultivation without transportation. We produce a total of 25 therapeutically highly effective, different oils fresh daily to weekly using our water-cooled raw food oil mills. We strive to close cycles in the farm economy. For example, we use the press cake from the oil mill as animal feed or directly as fertilizer to return these nutrients to the soil. We are currently 18 people who work on the "Hoher Schönberg Farm" in a wide variety of areas and continue to develop and expand it: in arable farming with oilseed cultivation, in vegetable cultivation, in animal husbandry, in the tree nursery with historic roses and with small fruit tree propagation as well as in the oil mill and in the organic farm store.
