We love the genuine, unadulterated. Here you will find completely natural, cold-pressed vegetable oil and gluten-free flour made from oilseeds or nuts. You won't find any preservatives, additives or artificial flavors here. All our products are carefully made by hand. The Ostseemühle is a small, family-run oil mill in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Our oils and flours are obtained by gentle cold pressing in an artisanal manner. All products are carefully bottled by hand. We do not remove any substances from the oil or add anything, as is done in industrial edible oil production. This means that the oils and gluten-free flours remain completely natural. The healthy ingredients contained in the seeds and nuts are retained. We press fresh linseed oil every week. You can buy it directly from the farm store from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00. In addition to our self-pressed oils and flours, we offer fruit spreads, honey, salt, mustard and tea from regional production in our farm store. The village of Zingst only came into being in the first half of the 19th century, which is why the Zingst church is younger than other sacred buildings in the region. It was built in two years by order of the Prussian royal government and consecrated in the fall of 1862. The architect of the simple towerless building in neo-Gothic style was the then court architect Friedrich August Stüler, a pupil of Schinkel. Dietrich Bonhoefer's work at the Zingsthof in 1935 and his sermon from the pulpit of the church in the same year are of historical significance. In 1986, the church received a new organ, built by the Sauer company (Frankfurt/Oder) while retaining the case of the old Mehmel organ.

Horseback riding on the beach in Ostseebad Dierhagen is permitted from October 4 to March 31. The beach crossing 22 must be used for this purpose. Exceptions for certain sections and periods can be granted by the municipality on request from local riding stables. A valid riding license (riding sticker) must also be purchased for the horse. The riding stickers can be purchased at the Haus des Gastes, Dierhagen Strand, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Str. 2, and are valid for the respective calendar year. Further information can be found here!

Riding or leading horses on Prerow beach is not permitted. Exceptions for certain sections and periods may be granted by the municipality upon application to local riding stables. On the Darß you will find everything you need for a vacation with a horse: miles of forest paths, endless meadows and natural romantic beaches. Riding stables in the vicinity of Prerow also offer guided tours and pony rides for children.

Horses must be identified as belonging to a riding stable. When is riding on the beach permitted? Horse owners are permitted to ride horses on Zingst beach between beach crossings 5 and 7 from October 1st to one weekend before Easter of the following year. Riders can apply for exceptions for certain sections and periods with the municipality of Ostseeheilbad Zingst, in agreement with the StALU. What must be observed? The building was constructed in 1926 based on designs by the Berlin architect Prof. Walter Brandt. Since 1946, the building has served as the seat of the Barth municipal administration. Since 2005, it has functioned not only as city hall but also as the administrative headquarters of the Barth district. The address is Teergang 2. In 1925, Barth was granted the status of a county seat. The building was constructed in 1926 as the district office for the Franzburg-Barth district based on designs by the Berlin architect Prof. Walter Brandt. Modelled after North German brick architecture, it is adorned with beautiful gables and a gable-like central section. The district administrator’s residence was located in a side wing. Since 1946, the building has served as the seat of the Barth municipal administration and was also used by the polyclinic until 1992. Since 2005, it has served not only as the town hall of Barth but also as the administrative headquarters of the Barth district. In today’s town hall, you will find, among other things, the Barth City Archives, the Registry Office, the Public Order Office, the Residents’ Registration Office, and the relevant authorities for matters related to construction and real estate, finance, daycare and schools, tourism and culture, housing assistance, municipal affairs, and more.

Ships stir our longing and imagination; they carry our dreams to new shores. "Roland Wolff—Ship Sculptures" My artistic focus is on creating unique ship sculptures. I carefully carve the shape of the ship from various types of natural wood. In doing so, I primarily use found pieces from my immediate surroundings—pieces of wood in which the shape is often already somewhat recognizable. Through careful craftsmanship, I give each ship its own character and an unmistakable personality. After working in carpentry shops, elderly care, and museum technology, I have been working as a freelance wood artist since 2004. Ever since then, the theme of “ships” has repeatedly captivated me and inspired me to create new objects. Ships tap into our longing and imagination; they carry our dreams to new shores. This feeling resonates with many people. In addition to my ship-themed objects, I also create woodblock prints featuring maritime motifs. I often use multi-printing techniques that involve various printing blocks and colors. I present my work—both objects and prints—annually in exhibitions in northern Germany. I live and work in Beughorst, Kronsberg, on the edge of the Barther Stadtwald. Here I find the peace and space I need for my creative work. My workshop and a small exhibition space are located on my property. I would be happy to welcome you by appointment to experience my work in person.

No German city or region has a larger contiguous coastal forest than Rostock. The Rostocker Heide covers approximately 6,000 hectares and stretches directly along the Baltic Sea coast from Markgrafenheide to the Baltic Sea resort of Graal-Müritz. In 1252, Prince Heinrich Borwin III sold the Rostock Heath forest area to the city of Rostock. With a total area of over 6,000 hectares, it is Germany’s largest contiguous coastal forest. Over the past centuries, this forest has undergone countless changes. Today, the Rostock Heath is not only essential for sustainable timber management and effective nature conservation but also a unique recreational area for hiking and biking. It boasts a diverse array of flora and fauna, and the mild, invigorating climate—a blend of Baltic Sea and forest air—provides ideal conditions for a healthy and rejuvenating stay. On the discovery trail and the thalassotherapy trails, you’ll discover the natural wonders—both big and small—of the local forests. Since 1996, the entire Rostock Heath has been a landscape conservation area. It is also part of the European NATURA 2000 network of protected areas, which includes approximately 3,500 hectares of forest as the “Forests and Moors of the Rostock Heath” protected area (FFH site). The Rostock Heath is also home to the nature reserves Radelsee, Heiligensee/Hütelmoor, and Schnatermann. Since 2000, the management of the Rostock Heath by the City Forestry Office has been certified according to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®). This certification is a globally recognized seal of quality for wood products and forest management, based on compliance with ten internationally binding principles and criteria. The Rostock Heath, together with the Vorpommern Bodden Landscape, is one of Germany’s 30 biodiversity hotspots. The area encompasses a unique, diverse coastal landscape. Colorful Flora: The Rostock Heath provides ideal living conditions for a large number of plant and animal species. Its forested areas consist of 45% coniferous species (including pine, spruce, larch, fir, and Douglas fir) and 55% deciduous species (including beech, oak, birch, and alder). In total, there are currently 19 different conifer species and 44 different deciduous tree species in the Rostock Heath. In contrast, approximately 700 ha of the Rostock Heath consist of bogs, reed beds, and meadows. Particularly noteworthy are the presence of yew, holly, the carnivorous sundew, and numerous orchid species in the flora. The “Sandacker” in Hinrichshagen is a unique feature. The area is a field flora reserve and is one of only three sites in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania where endangered field flora species have a refuge and are not facing extinction. Rare wild plants such as lady’s mantle, rye brome, sand poppy, as well as chamomile and cornflowers grow there undisturbed. Diverse Wildlife: In addition to martens, foxes, and badgers, the heath is home to roe deer, fallow deer, and wild boar, as well as red deer, which depend on large, contiguous, and as undisturbed as possible habitats. With a little luck and patience, you can spot not only these animals but also white-tailed eagles, gray herons, cranes, and kingfishers. The same goes for the diverse insect life in the forest and open areas. Far more elusive are the thirteen bat species that live in the Rostock Heath.
