With its cellar dating back to 1258, this medieval gabled house is considered Stralsund’s oldest stone building. Redesigned in the 17th and 18th centuries, the Gothic gable—which had been altered in the Baroque style—underwent a partial renovation in 1968–69.In the lower part of the facade, the Gothic structure of the facade can be seen through two exposed windows, complemented by a sandstone slab from 1608 that originally came from the house’s cornice. During extensive renovations in 1994 and 1995, remnants of the medieval paintwork and sculptural decoration were discovered.

The Greenhouse was the summer residence of Grand Duke Paul Friedrich and his wife (the Prussian princess) Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The part of the palace garden belonging to the Greenhouse was one of the Grand Duchess's favorite places and was laid out in the English style around 1840 according to plans by master garden designer Peter Joseph Lenné. Alexandrine continued to live here after her husband's death. A monument in the Greenhouse Garden commemorates her. In addition to the garden, you can also see the Greenhouse (now a children's daycare center) and the Kavaliershaus where the servants were quartered (now privately owned). On behalf of the Grand Duke, architect Hermann Willebrand created the designs for a linen chamber. In 1878, following the demolition of the previous building, this was expanded with the addition of a “bed chamber.” Willebrand unified both structures through a consistent design featuring a simple, neoclassical stucco façade. In 1878, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II commissioned architect Hermann Willebrand to rebuild the linen and bedding storehouse in Schwerin. The building was erected on the site of the previous structure, which no longer met modern requirements. Willebrand designed the extension of the functional building with a simple neoclassical stucco façade and linked the linen chamber and the newly added bedding chamber into a harmonious architectural ensemble. The ten-axis structure features plastered facades and a flat hipped roof. Originally used as a supply building for the court, the building is now in private use.

The former kitchen garden for the grand ducal court is somewhat hidden behind a brick wall on Franzosenweg. The orange house and wine cellars have also been preserved. Until the First World War, fruit, vegetables and citrus fruits were grown in the kitchen garden to supply the palace kitchen. The kitchen garden was restored for the 2009 Federal Garden Show in Schwerin and useful plants were exhibited. The greenhouse and the orange house are now residential buildings, and part of the area is planted with ornamental plant beds and roses by a non-profit association. The buildings and the garden are part of the Schwerin Residence Ensemble.

During the excavation conducted by Prof. Ewald Schuldt in 1970, various artifacts were discovered, particularly in front of and inside the entrance to the burial chamber. These include, among other things, pottery shards, arrowheads, amber beads, axes, and other flint tools. Another distinctive feature of the tomb is the small bowls attached to the toppled guardian stone and one of the boundary stones, which still raise many questions today. The "Blocksberg" megalithic tomb is located right along the road near Posewald. On the road from Lonvitz to Zirkow, north of the village of Posewald, lies the "Blocksberg" megalithic tomb, a so-called large dolmen with a vestibule. Originally, the tomb had three capstones, of which only one remains in its nearly original position—sunken into the chamber. The other two stones lie in the immediate vicinity: one at the edge of the mound, the other still buried in the ground. The nearly circular mound is still surrounded by several boundary stones of the megalithic tomb, the exact shape of which is unknown. Despite traces of stone-cutting teams, the dolmen and its surrounding stones are still well-preserved here. Originally, the tomb—a large dolmen with a vestibule dating from around 3000 B.C.—had a burial chamber with four capstones, two of which are missing and one of which has slipped into the chamber. At the presumed megalithic tomb, Site 51, in the Pastitz Forest, the surrounding stones have also largely been preserved. However, the burial chamber is not yet visible above ground in the flat, elongated mound. It is therefore questionable whether this structure is in fact a megalithic tomb.
