In addition, there are demonstrations, hands-on activities, blacksmithing and vacation workshops that build a bridge between then and now and impart knowledge in a vivid way. Old Synagogue Krakow am See
● Krakow am See
The Old Synagogue is one of the few remaining synagogues in north-eastern Germany. In Krakow am See you will find one of the few synagogues still preserved in its original form in north-eastern Germany as well as a Jewish cemetery. On December 12, 1866, the synagogue was solemnly consecrated by 110 members of the community. In 1920, it was sold to the town because the Jewish community had dwindled considerably. It was then used as a gymnasium for many years until it was opened to the public in 1995 after extensive renovation work. Today it is home to the cultural department of the town of Krakow am See and the "Old Synagogue" cultural association. Exhibitions, concerts and readings take place regularly in the former prayer hall.
Old Synagogue Stavenhagen
● Stavenhagen
The synagogue was probably built in the 18th century and was used by the Jewish community of the town of Stavenhagen until 1938. The front building served as a residence for the community's own rabbi. The half-timbered building contains a large prayer hall and an entrance hall, from which a staircase leads to the women's gallery. The synagogue was built in the backyard of the community center, i.e. hidden, to protect it from the hostile eyes of the Christian village community at the time. It was only when the Jews were fully emancipated that they built a representative synagogue that was visible in the street. It is special above all because it is one of the few synagogues to have survived the Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938. It was then forced to be sold and was used as a carpentry workshop until the 1980s. In 2011, the "Old Synagogue Stavenhagen" association was founded with the aim of renovating the historic building, which has already achieved monument status. Previous efforts to renovate the building had failed for financial reasons. Anyone interested in visiting the synagogue should contact Klaus Salewski by email or telephone: Sali-45@web.de or 0152 27779181

The Feldberg Lake District delights fishing enthusiasts not only with its scenic beauty—featuring deep, clear lakes surrounded by wooded hills—but also with one of the most fascinating fishing shops in the lake district. The reason for this is its unique blend of museum and treasure trove of regional specialties. Whether it’s spoons, rubber lures, Makks, twisters, wobblers, fishing reels, fishing rods, or live bait—you’ll find everything an angler’s heart desires here. The shop—which also serves as a cozy gathering place for fishing enthusiasts to exchange ideas—has been run by Bernhard Petruschat since 1999. His palpable enthusiasm for the “most beautiful hobby in the world” and his expert knowledge alone make a visit here an experience. Particularly impressive is a gigantic pike measuring 143 centimeters and weighing 40 pounds, mounted on the wall. Bernhard Petruschat caught it over 20 years ago in Lake Carwitz. He’s always happy to recount the story of the catch, and he does so with such vividness that it feels as if it were yesterday. At the fishing center, you can not only purchase fishing permits for all 15 fishable lakes but also get comprehensive information about each body of water. And if you’ve always wanted to fish for gamefish and non-gamefish from the comfort of a boat, with an experienced guide who knows the local waters like the back of his hand, Bernhard Petruschat can arrange the perfect guided fishing tour. It’s an experience that will be unforgettable, especially for your children.

Treat yourself to a break for body and soul with individual massages and other classical Chinese medicine treatments. Practice for Chinese medicine Chinese medicine describes the human being as a process that exists under various internal and external conditions. This makes it possible to positively influence the actual state of a person by specifically influencing the conditions, to resolve any stagnation that has arisen and thus to regulate the entire body function system. Since a person's conditional structure is always individual, the diagnosis and therapy must always be individually tailored to each person. Treatment is carried out with individual TUINA massages, herbal formulas, exercises, acupuncture, etc. The client is also made responsible for the treatment. Among other things, I offer you Health advice according to classical Chinese medicine The aim of health advice is to create an individual pattern through targeted questioning and tongue and pulse observation and thus to recognize and correlate disharmonies. Among other things, it is about diet, lifestyle, digestion, sleep, ... . Interactions and correlations can be identified and solutions can be found together on how the disharmonious patterns can be regulated again. TUINA massages TUINA can be used both as prevention and therapy. It has been highly valued in China for over 2000 years, alongside herbal treatments, nutrition, acupuncture and lifestyle. With the help of various massage techniques that warm and work in depth, combined with targeted acupressure, the flow throughout the body is stimulated and stagnation can be released. The massages not only relieve tension. They also strengthen the muscles, make the joints supple and have a positive effect on other processes, such as digestion, breathing or psychosomatic problems. I offer Full body massage back massage Shoulder-neck massage Massage of the extremities Head massage Wellness/well-being massage Fire cupping Cupping therapy is one of the oldest methods of Chinese medicine. The air contained in the cupping glass is heated with a flame so that the air expands and a vacuum is created when it is applied to the skin. When the air in the cupping glass cools down, a vacuum is created which "sucks in" the tissue. The suction effect stimulates blood circulation, toxins and waste products are brought to the surface, the metabolism is stimulated, muscle tension and stiffness are relieved and the underlying organs can also be positively influenced. The suction effect causes circular bruising in the treated areas. However, these disappear again after a few days. The cupping massage combines flash cupping (the glass is sucked in and removed from the skin at lightning speed), moving cupping (the glass is pushed over the skin on a film of oil) and spot cupping. I offer: Fire cupping (punctual) Cupping massage Fire cupping combined with TUINA Movement theory from Chinese medicine Various exercises from Tao Yin and Qigong.
