To this end, the club maintains 2.4mR-class keelboats. These boats are sailed by a single person, are unsinkable, and cannot capsize. Anyone—with or without a disability, and with or without sailing experience—who wants to sail has the opportunity to learn here. Those interested can contact the club via email (info@plauer-hai-live.de) or simply stop by the marina during the sailing season. From May through September, the club offers a special recreational program for patients at the MEDICLIN Rehabilitation Center in Plau am See every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Those interested can discover the sport of sailing for themselves and give it a try under the guidance of experienced instructors. Since 2006, many people have taken advantage of this program every year and have often been delighted to have pushed their own limits. Of course, safety is our top priority—we only sail on these days when the weather is good, and we always accompany the sailors with our red inflatable boat. And finally, no prior experience is required—all you need to bring is a good attitude and a little courage to try something new. We look forward to welcoming new sailors and those who want to become sailors.
