It is characterized by a fine-grained white sandy beach with few stones and shallow water in the shore area. With a width of up to 200 meters, it is also considered the widest on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The beach can be used free of charge in the Rostock seaside resorts. The Warnemünde beach promenade is a popular promenade from the lighthouse to the beach path and is completely barrier-free.
