Thanks to our own fishing fleet and close links with local fishermen, we bring the treasures of the Baltic Sea and Bodden waters directly ashore. Depending on the season, you can expect regional classics such as herring, turbot and pike, complemented by the finest specialties from all over the world. The journey couldn't be shorter: the catch is taken directly from the quayside to our in-house manufactory, which has been synonymous with first-class craftsmanship since 1991. This is also where our award-winning, certified herring marinades and salads are made - from spicy peppered herring to our legendary cod meatballs. Housed in the historic old cold store - where ice was once produced for the Sassnitz fishing fleet - the fish counter, which opened in 2023, offers fresh fish, homemade marinades and the finest smoked specialties from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern every day

Fresh Baltic Sea fish and regional specialties from Rügen

Thanks to its own fishing fleet and close cooperation with local fishermen from the Bodden and Baltic Sea waters around Rügen, the catch is delivered directly to the in-house manufactory by the shortest route. This has stood for first-class craftsmanship since 1991. Depending on the season, regional classics such as herring, turbot and pike can be found in the display, complemented by specialties from all over the world. Particularly popular are the award-winning herring marinades and the legendary cod meatballs - products that epitomize the fish culture of the Baltic coast.

The manufactory also produces certified organic decorative cosmetics, solid perfumes and dog shampoo. Disabled access and bicycle racks are available and there are also good parking facilities for motorists in the immediate vicinity.
