The staff at the tourist information office will be happy to help you plan and organize your stay in the region. The impressive landscapes, the biodiversity of the flora and fauna, and the cultural and historical treasures of the Mecklenburgische Kleinseenplatte enchant visitors far from the big city and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Wesenberg is characterized by countless lakes connected by small canals. The town lies on the edge of the Deutsche Alleenstraße and serves as the southern gateway to the Müritz National Park. Whether on foot, by bike, or by raft, paddleboat, rowboat, or motorboat, you can get up close to the local flora and fauna. Today, it houses the tourist information office, the local history museum, and the fishing exhibition. Not far from the castle complex, the Toy Museum in Villa Pusteblume welcomes its guests. Old toys and mechanical musical instruments are lovingly collected and displayed here. A boulder garden and the only surviving house bridge in northern Germany—located in the Ahrensberg district—round out this varied discovery tour through the “water city.” At the Weißer See, art lovers can explore the “Künstler BEI WU” sculpture park, featuring numerous works in various artistic styles by international artists.
