Choco Heroes Wismar

A small chocolate factory with an open-kitchen production area, a shop, and a café featuring a beautiful outdoor terrace and a view of the harbor.

At our chocolate factory in Wismar’s Old Harbor, we make our little “SüchtigMacher” treats, chocolate bars, and all sorts of other goodies. Here, chocolate is still traditionally hand-crafted and lovingly packaged. Of course, you can also create your own chocolate bars here with ingredients of your choice, which are then handcrafted for you in our glass-walled production area. Meanwhile, in our cozy café area, you can relax and enjoy a chocolate-flavored coffee or a delicious hot chocolate in many different varieties. Of course, we also offer our “Gläschen Glück” (warm, liquid chocolate pulled straight from the chocolate machines and topped with a little crown of milk foam) and our legendary ice shakes. ... and when the weather’s nice, we’ll see you on our outdoor terraces with views of the harbor and the sea.

Chocohelden Wismar – Handcrafted Chocolate in the Old Harbor

Chocohelden Wismar is a small chocolate workshop located right in the Old Harbor of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. Here, chocolate is still handmade using traditional methods and packaged with great care. In addition to ready-made products like the so-called “SüchtigMacher” and classic chocolate bars, there’s plenty to see in the glass-walled production area—an experience for young and old alike.

Design Your Own Chocolate Bar in Wismar

If you’d like, you can create your very own personalized chocolate bar at the factory. You select your desired ingredients, and the bar is then handmade right on the spot—visible through the glass-walled production area. This makes Chocohelden a special destination on the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, perhaps on the way from Rostock to Stralsund or as a highlight of a city trip to the Hanseatic city.

In the adjoining café area, you can relax with a chocolate coffee or one of the many varieties of hot chocolate. Particularly popular is the “Gläschen Glück” (Little Glass of Happiness)—warm, liquid chocolate straight from the production machines, topped with a crown of milk foam. Legendary ice shakes are also on the menu. When the weather is nice, the outdoor terraces with views of the harbor and the sea invite you to linger—an atmospheric spot in Wismar’s historic city center.

Wismar

Wismar's unpackaged store becomes the backdrop for the sprouting of change. Enchanting flower arrangements from the SlowFlower movement, arranged in handmade ceramics, meet the fresh idea of compostable ToGo tableware. Rounded off by a swap and purchase market for pre-grown vegetable plants, garden perennials and seeds. May makes everything new! The füllwerk - Wismar's first unpackaged store is bursting with green ideas. This Saturday, Slowflower gardener Hanna Dittrich from Dalliendorf will enchant you with the Japanese art of flower arranging "Ikebana" and invites you to try your hand at it. The handmade vessels for this will be created by ceramicist Christiane Gregorowius from Dambeck. Isabelle Weniger, a student of Material Culture Design from Wismar, will be presenting her master's thesis. She is developing and designing a sustainable, 100% compostable disposable tableware. An open exchange for sharing, swapping and selling seeds, pre-grown vegetable plants and garden perennials will also get your pots, balconies and gardens sprouting. The füllwerk team will provide snacks and drinks for a small donation and introduce you to the world of unpackaged shopping. We look forward to seeing you!
