Atelier Bothmer – PRINT.GRAPHICS.WORKSHOP in Klütz at Bothmer Castle

In the Klützer Winkel region, not far from Mecklenburg’s Baltic Sea coast, Ivette Lesser has set up her studio right next to the historic Bothmer Castle. The DRUCK.GRAFIK.WERKSTATT in Klütz brings together various artistic styles under one roof: Lesser’s own linocuts depict charming landscape elements of the region and capture the character of the Klützer Winkel in every motif.

Linocuts, etchings, and paintings—four artists, one studio

In addition to the host’s works, pieces by three other artists are on display. In his etchings, Christian Potrafky presents subtle caricatures and scenes from everyday life. Peter K. Endres works in a mixed media technique combining acrylic, oil, ink, and graphite, depicting the diversity and vulnerability of life in his works. Pia Schröder complements the exhibition with simple, handcrafted ceramic pieces in a Nordic design.

Klütz

Producers' gallery shows works by approx. 45 exhibitors (art, crafts, design) The owners and tenants of farms in the Klützer Winkel founded the Klütz cooperative dairy in 1889. For decades, this was regarded as an important industrial enterprise in the town of Klütz, which was known far beyond the borders of the region for its cheese products such as "Baby Edam & Klützer Gold". The dairy was closed in 1990. After almost 125 years and more than 20 years of vacancy, the dairy has developed into a place for art, culture and regional products. Here you will find art, crafts and design in various galleries with different focuses. The product range of around 60 regional and national exhibitors covers a wide spectrum. From individual clothing and accessories, an exquisite selection of leather goods and jewelry, ceramics, handmade knives and children's toys to sculptures, paintings and photography. There are also regular events such as cinema, concerts and theater, as well as opportunities to join in. Opening hours: Aprl-Oct: Tue-Sat 11am-6pm
