Kunst- und Kulturhaus Alte Molkerei Klütz - experience regional art up close
The Alte Molkerei art and culture center in Klütz is a special place for art lovers on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Around 30 artists and craftspeople from the region present their work on around 250 square meters - including painting, wood design, ceramics, textile art, leather, jewelry, metal, paper and light.
Three galleries with hands-on activities and live demonstrations
In the "Kein Käse" gallery, visitors can make their own macramé jewelry with Ruth Aparicio Duque, while wood designer Georg Heilmann demonstrates his work on wood live. In the "dieKUNSTdasWERK" gallery, visitors can watch a painting being created, Baltic Sea stones being cut and traditional leather sewing. The gallery "the spinning wheel" shows the elaborate production of wool products with a spinning wheel and weaving frame.
Flamenco, blacksmithing and textile art in KlützFlamenco dancer Ana Sojor offers brief insights into the world of flamenco dance. Blacksmith Frank Alexy demonstrates traditional blacksmithing with hammer and anvil at an open fire. Textile artist Asta Rutzke will be represented with her own exhibition. The event café "La Lecheria" serves coffee, cake and juice from the local Klützer Mosterei.
Klütz in the Baltic Sea region between Wismar and Lübeck
Klütz is located in the north-west of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, close to the Baltic Sea coast between Wismar and the Bay of Lübeck - not far from Boltenhagen and the Klützer Winkel. In Ivette Lesser's DRUCK.GRAFIK.WERKSTATT studio at Bothmer Castle, you can marvel at fantastic works by other colleagues in addition to her own linoleum prints, which depict charming landscape elements of the Klützer Winkel: Christian Potrafky - his etchings mainly show subtle caricatures and scenes of everyday life.
