Anyone familiar with the beech forests of the Baltic Sea region, for example on Rügen or Fischland-Darß-Zingst, will immediately feel at home here.
Soil monument and Lake Hertha - history in the Teterow Forest
In the Hohe Holz there is also a stone cist grave, which is dated as a ground monument to the years 3,000 to 1,800 BC. The hiking area is one of three urban hiking areas in Teterow and leads to the legendary Hertha Lake - a worthwhile destination for any forest walk.
