The sport of tennis has a long tradition in Teterow. The tennis club was founded as early as 1920. In GDR times, Teterow was a stronghold of tennis in the district of Neubrandenburg. The junior section produced many district champions and even a GDR champion. The current club was founded in 1998. In 2000, the facility was extended to three courts and a modern clubhouse was built.
