The food and drink on offer is consciously limited, follows the rhythm of the region, the season and is subject to sustainability, without semi-finished or finished products and free from flavor enhancers. People with intolerances or who wish to follow a vegetarian or vegan diet also have the opportunity to enjoy their food without having to make sacrifices. In the De oll Dörpschaul near Lützow, in the heart of Mecklenburg, the former village school of Rosenow has found a very special new purpose. Owner Ute Linke has transformed the old classroom into a place where regional, seasonal cooking takes center stage - down-to-earth, honest and surprisingly subtle.
Mecklenburg cuisine without compromise - fresh and seasonal
The philosophy here is simple: "Simple and good." The food on offer follows the rhythm of the region and the seasons, without convenience products or flavor enhancers. Vegetables, herbs and fruit come from the hotel's own permaculture garden - a concept that also includes guests with intolerances as well as vegetarian and vegan diets. The culinary map of Mecklenburg is as varied as the landscape between Wismar, Lake Schaalsee and the Baltic Sea coast.
Lütt Lädchen und Garten - more than just a restaurant
In addition to enjoying the former classroom, the Lütt Lädchen invites you to browse for homemade products, and the well-tended garden offers relaxation and is also a habitat for bees. The historic manor house "Schloss Kaeselow" is located 20 km west of Schwerin, nestled in a large property with park and garden. The representative manor house in the Tudor Gothic style was built in 1860 by Privy Councillor Heinrich von Brock. The von Oertzen family owned the ensemble from 1878 and the von Both family owned the house from 1901 to 1945. It still shines today without any major external changes. In the surrounding park, accessible from a flight of steps via the conservatory, there are free-roaming chickens and geese as well as old trees. The representative castle hall was the official branch of the registry office. The house and grounds have been cared for by the Gerd-Rainer Hienstorfer family since 1992. New owners, Claudia Steinlechner and Vincent Grundke, took over the property some time ago. They are working on the renovation of the house with great personal commitment. Vacation apartments and event rooms are to be created. The owners live here privately.

You can buy your Christmas tree here for the festive season. The multi-crop farm extends over 280 hectares and is primarily cultivated with winter wheat, sugar beet and winter rape. Ultra-modern large agricultural vehicles work the fields with the best equipment and thus produce the best possible yield. You can see this for yourself and get a taste of the countryside. There is the possibility of an individual farm tour. Every year, just in time for Christmas, Christmas trees can be purchased on site at the farm. These are planted every year, they grow, thrive and beautify your festive season with their magnificent splendor. The promotion of young talent is particularly important to the farm. The farm offers apprenticeships in the field of agriculture, which attract both boys and girls.
