Riding on Kühlungsborn's horse beach is officially permitted from November 1 to March 31. Outside of this period, an exception is only possible with the express permission of the mayor. The exact boundaries of the beach section are clearly marked in the east and west by district markings so that riders can easily identify the permitted area.
