Inspiration from the Ivenack Oak Park - 1000-year-old oaks as a source of ideas

The idea for this special tree cake came from a visit to the famous 1000-year-old oak trees in Ivenack, a small community in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The old trees in the park there inspired the Komander family to create a recipe that has since been patented and can only be purchased here.
