Glowe marina at Cape Königshörn - between Tromper Wiek and Cape Arkona
The Glowe marina is located at Cape Königshörn on the island of Rügen, directly opposite the famous Cape Arkona at the northernmost tip of Germany. Nestled in the unspoilt Tromper Wiek - a spacious bay with a sandy beach around eight kilometers wide - the harbour offers 190 berths for fishing boats, motorboats and sailboats with a water depth of around two to three meters. The harbor is open from April to October.

The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) rescue cruiser "Kurt Hoffmann" is stationed in Glowe harbor - a rare insight into maritime safety on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. If you want to enjoy the view over the Tromper Wiek, there is a seven-metre-high observation tower with a platform directly in the harbour, from which an impressive panorama of the bay opens up. The harbor also has a charter base for water sports enthusiasts.
Sailing and water sports around Glowe on RügenThe location of the "Königshörn" rest area makes Glowe an attractive port of call for sailors and motorboaters exploring the coastal waters between Rügen, Stralsund and the Greifswald Bodden. The Ostseehalle Glowe in the beautiful Baltic seaside resort of Glowe on the island of Rügen is a place for sport and culture. The hall itself has a floor area of just under 406 m², which can be divided into two or separated by an opaque curtain. There is also a multi-purpose room with an area of just under 45 m², which can be used for meetings, events and workshops of all kinds. There are also toilets, showers, changing rooms and a small kitchenette available on request. Information on accessibility All test-relevant areas meet the quality criteria of the "Accessibility tested - barrier-free for people with disabilities and partially barrier-free for wheelchair users" label. Further details can be found under Travel for All. There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities. All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level. All accessible and raised doors/passages are at least 70 cm wide. Seating is available. There are five designated spaces for wheelchair users. There is a changing room for people with disabilities. There are two public toilets for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from both sides. There are folding grab rails on both sides of the toilet. One of the barrier-free toilets is also equipped with a shower. There is no grab rail or shower chair.

Königshörn spa park in Glowe

The Glower Kurpark with its circular path along the cliff. In July 2010, the Glow spa park was opened right next to the spa clinic. Visitors will not only find beautiful plantings and an adventure playground on the circular path along the cliff not far from the Königshörn, but also granite sculptures by sculptor Mile Prerad, including the "Eagle's View" towards Cape Arkona and the mother seal with her offspring. Other Baltic Sea animals are sculpted in the open air. Mile Prerad has his studio in Lobkevitz on Wittow. The Serbian artist, who has lived in Germany since 1966, has lived and worked here since the early 1990s.
