The ensemble of the market square with the Tudor-style town hall built in 1849 and the 13th century collegiate church, which was declared a monument of national importance in 2007, is of cultural and historical interest. In the history-steeped Krumme Haus, visitors encounter history in stories, letters and figures, facts and myths, united as a friendly combination of the local history museum, the library and the documentation on the political abuse of the penal system in Bützow.
