Ehmkendorf Manor House
● Stubbendorf
The Ehmkendorf Manor House is the last house in the village, situated on the edge of the Recknitz Valley. It is a wonderful retreat for families, groups, and seminars in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The newly renovated house is currently privately owned and does not offer overnight accommodations at this time.
The manor house and its natural park invite you to linger. The Recknitz Valley, a beautiful glacial valley with great biodiversity, beckons for excursions—on foot, on horseback, and on the water.
Full board is available, but the fully equipped kitchen also makes cooking as a group a pleasure. We’re happy to stock the fridge with regional and homegrown products in advance. We’re also happy to prepare something for the evening of your arrival—from a classic snack platter with game salami from our own hunt to a barbecue buffet, almost anything is possible—just as you wish!
All eight rooms are lovingly furnished in a minimalist style and each has a small bathroom. In addition, the group has access to the fireplace room (as a living room, conference room, or classroom), the café (as a dining room or meeting place), and the former commercial kitchen.
A highlight are the regular cooking evenings with René Pieper, head chef at Pieper Catering in Dettmannsdorf. Only regional and homegrown products are used here. Depending on the weather, cooking takes place on the antique cast-iron August Speiser stove—of which there are only two others in all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania—or on the outdoor cooking area in the park. Every other Wednesday and upon request!
