As soon as you set the afterburner, your Eurofighter thunders over the runway at Rostock-Laage airfield, where Fighter Wing 73 is stationed. With the two powerful 35,000 hp EJ-200 engines, you will fly supersonically over the skies of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The "Santa Florita" exhibition offers contemporary art across genres. Objects, installations, drawings, paintings and flowers in the unique, industrial-romantic surroundings of the old milk sugar factory in Laage. Here, in this extraordinary place, in wild industrial-romantic surroundings, the works of Monique Anders, Andreas Manczyk and Lars Bröker come together in an extensive show of colorful creations. The exhibition is called "Santa Florita" and features works from a wide range of disciplines. Painting meets installation, floral art meets jewelry. There will also be coffee and cake. Our Stern bakery and confectionery has existed in Laage for more than half a century and is now run by the third generation. Onlookers get their money's worth from the airport terrace and have an incomparable view of the planes taking off and landing. The summer months offer a varied flight program, especially at weekends. In addition to scheduled and vacation flights, many cruise passengers travel to and from the airport to take off on a Baltic Sea tour with their cruise liners from Warnemünde. Visitors can therefore see a wide variety of aircraft types, including large planes such as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 747. When selecting food, the airport team focuses on regional products and new collaborations. Freshly baked cakes are supplied by the Stern bakery from Laage. The ice cream specialties come from the Rostock-based company Food & Ice Creativ and are transformed into delicious, summery sundaes on site. Coffee and tea specialties round off the offer. The restaurant has a total of 78 indoor and outdoor seats and can also be booked for events.
