Warnemünde Art Studio – A Platform for Art Inspired by the Baltic Sea

The Warnemünde Art Studio presents works by up to ten regional artists at a time in rotating exhibitions. Located in a prime spot in the popular Baltic Sea resort, the studio showcases a wide variety of art forms: from paintings, drawings, and etchings to sculptures, collages, and glass art, as well as photography and video art. Admission is free, and all exhibited works are available for purchase.

Emerging talents and established artists from the Baltic Sea region

A particular focus of the studio is promoting the regional art scene in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Both young emerging talents and experienced artists—from Warnemünde, Rostock, the Fischland-Darß-Zingst region, Stralsund, Greifswald, and the entire Baltic Sea coast—are given a high-quality platform here. The prerequisite is a clear artistic connection to the Baltic Sea region. The well-lit exhibition spaces in a central location attract a large number of visitors and facilitate direct interaction between artists, art enthusiasts, and collectors.

Information on accessibility There are 6 public parking spaces for people with disabilities at Kirchplatz (parking space size 250 cm x 600 cm; distance to the entrance approx. 150 m). From the public parking lot and the Warnemünde S-Bahn station, you can reach the entrances via a path that is easy to walk and drive on. The building can be accessed via Alexandrienstraße without thresholds or steps or via Kirchstraße without steps via a door threshold 2 cm high. All rooms that can be used by guests are accessible at ground level. All passages/doors are at least 90 cm. The counter in the customer area is 106 cm high. There is an alternative means of communication while seated. Aids available: wheelchair, rollator, scooter The public WC is located 25 m from the Kirchenstraße entrance. There is step-free access via a ramp with a 6% incline. Fold-up grab rails are available on both sides of the toilet. Assistance dogs may be brought along. Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing. Aids offered: Reading aids There is no inductive hearing system.
