Enjoy the tranquility of a leisurely cruise on the water. The passenger ship “Mudder Schulten” entered service in 1979. It offers 71 seats in two heated and air-conditioned cabins, plus 50 seats on the sun deck. Refreshments are provided for passengers during the trip, including coffee and cake, ice cream, light snacks, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Your captain is Eckhard Lüdemann. He has been sailing on Lake Tollense as a captain since 1978. He has been at the helm of the “Mudder Schulten” since 1983. He has been the ship’s owner since 2004. Boat Tours on Lake Tollense Aboard the Mudder Schulten
The passenger boat Mudder Schulten in Neubrandenburg has been offering leisurely tours on Lake Tollense and the Lieps since 1979. Captain Eckhard Lüdemann has been a skipper on Lake Tollense since 1978 and has been at the helm of the Mudder Schulten since 1983—a true institution on the water just outside the city gates. The ship offers 71 seats in two heated and air-conditioned interior compartments, as well as 50 additional seats on the sun deck.
Three Tours on Lake Tollense and the Lieps
Depending on the time of day and your interests, there are three sightseeing tours to choose from: a short 1.5-hour tour, a medium-length 2-hour tour covering the entire Lake Tollense, and a long 2.5-hour tour through Lake Tollense and Lieps. The trips depart from the pier in Kulturpark and pass by Broda Beach, Belvedere, Gatscheck Campground, Klein Nemerow, Behmshöhe, and Augustabad. On board, coffee, cake, ice cream, snacks, and beverages are available to satisfy your appetite.

Want to see the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg from above? The Behmshöhe observation tower offers an impressive view. On the initiative of the association for the promotion of tourism at the time, an attraction was to be created in Nemerower Holz. In 1897, the town fathers decided to build a lookout tower, which was opened to the public in 1905. The 34-metre-high tower stands on Behmshöhe and offers a magnificent view of the clear Lake Tollensesee and the surrounding hilly landscape. To reach the viewing area, 111 steps have to be climbed - the magnificent view is well worth the effort. The Behmshöhe observation tower is not accessible for people with limited mobility. Opening times: From mid-April to mid-November daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
