Our riding stable and farm is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District between the climatic health resort of Plau am See and the brewery town of Lübz. The hills east of Lübz rise about forty meters above the town. This is also where the Bobziner Tannen forest area is located. Our family-run business is located in Riederfelde, just under 1 km from the outskirts of Lübz and not far from the long-distance "Mecklenburg Lake Cycle Route." Far away from the stress of everyday life, you can enjoy peace and relaxation in a laid-back atmosphere. We offer a vacation apartment, 3 family rooms (1 for 3 people, 2 for 4 people), as well as double and single rooms. Cyclists, horseback riders, and hikers are also welcome to stay with us for just one night! Our farm is home to horses, ponies, cattle, pigs, a billy goat, rabbits, a dog, and cats. We offer riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders, walks with hand-led ponies, trail rides, and carriage tours. In our guest lounge, we serve home-style meals for our guests from breakfast through dinner, featuring some of our own farm-fresh products. Anyone who’d like to is welcome to lend a hand in the stable or out in the fields. Various recreational options include the sauna house on the farm, billiards, darts, a trampoline, and volleyball. The supervised swimming area at Broock is just under 4 km away.

The Botschatzke Holiday Farm is located in the district of Riederfelde, just under a kilometer from the outskirts of Lübz, in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District between the climatic health resort of Plau am See and the brewery town of Lübz. Family-run and known for years for its personal hospitality, the farm offers a vacation apartment, three family rooms, as well as single and double rooms. Breakfast and half-board are available—in part featuring products from our own farm.
Horseback riding, petting animals, and country life for the whole family
The farm is home to horses, ponies, cattle, pigs, goats, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Guests of all ages can take riding lessons, go on trail rides, join carriage tours, or simply take a walk with ponies. Those who wish can lend a hand in the barn or in the fields. Children’s birthday parties and riding vacations are also part of the farm’s offerings.

In addition to country life, guests can enjoy a sauna house, a children’s playground, a trampoline, volleyball, billiards, and darts. The supervised swimming area at Broock is about four kilometers away. The nearby long-distance bike path, the “Mecklenburg Lakes Cycle Route,” also makes the farm attractive to cyclists. Those wishing to explore the coast can reach the Baltic Sea region of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania—such as Rostock, Wismar, or the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula—in about one to one and a half hours by car.

By car, you can reach the Botschatzke Holiday Farm via the B 191 between Lübz and Plau am See; the nearest highway exit is on the A 24 (Neustadt-Glewe exit) or on the A 19 (Goldberg exit). The nearest train station is Lübz, which is connected via the Parchim–Güstrow line. From there, it is less than two kilometers to the farm in Riederfelde.

Since 1980, the town of Lübz has had a planetarium, which is open not only to schools in the region, but also to holidaymakers and anyone else who is interested. No matter what the weather is like: thanks to projection technology from Carl Zeiss Jena, you can observe the day and night sky and follow the position of the sun, moon and planets. Around 5000 stars can be projected onto the planetarium dome, which has a diameter of eight meters. Old Water Tower Observation Deck

The round brick building is now a technical monument and observation deck. The old water tower in Lübz is a striking structure and an important testament to the town’s industrial history. It was built in 1913 and stands 37 meters tall. It originally served to supply water to the town. In 2006, the tower was converted into an observation tower. A newly installed spiral staircase makes the tower easily accessible. A special highlight is the panoramic view from an additional level built into the former water storage tank, which offers visitors an impressive view of Lübz and the surrounding area.
