Old Water Tower Observation Deck

Lübz

The round brick building is now a technical monument and observation deck. The old water tower in Lübz is a striking structure and an important testament to the town’s industrial history. A newly installed spiral staircase makes the tower easily accessible. A special highlight is the panoramic view from an additional level built into the former water storage tank, which offers visitors an impressive view of Lübz and the surrounding area. Lübz

Located in the heart of Lübz, the ZZK offers affordable space for offices and workshops, featuring 10 studios, an artist-run gallery, a large courtyard, and a coach house. The purpose of this space is to bring together different sectors—whether individuals, startups, or small businesses—who want to shape the future together in a sustainable and resource-efficient way. The Center for Circular Art is not just a place for artists themselves. Rather, it embraces the concept of sustainability, according to which we all want to use the resources at our disposal more consciously, reuse what already exists, upgrade it, and make it available for further use. “No excuse for single use” applies not only to upcycling art and the circular economy, but also to numerous historic buildings within Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, such as the ZZK Lübz. As part of the region’s clay and brick architectural heritage, the building has been renovated in recent years using traditional and sustainable construction methods and now offers space for creative ideas.
