Painting and drawing in Altkalen vicarage - art in the heart of Mecklenburg

A Mecklenburg painter is showing an exciting cross-section of his artistic work in the historic vicarage in Altkalen. The exhibition includes painterly urban spaces and landscapes as well as new experimental works on the themes of body experience and music. The portfolio is complemented by fine, colored pencil drawings, which were created spontaneously from the immediate experience of the surroundings - a quiet mirror of Mecklenburg's nature and everyday world.

Silkscreen art and garden freshness by Adrienne Györgyi

In addition to painting, the vicarage in Altkalen also offers Adrienne Györgyi's creative range: dresses, fabrics, dolls and home decorations with fine screen-printed motifs can be found here, as well as fresh produce straight from the garden. This makes a visit a varied art experience away from the well-known museums on the Baltic coast, for example in Rostock, Stralsund or Greifswald.

Experience art in rural Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Altkalen is located in the heart of Mecklenburg, far away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the Baltic Sea coast. Anyone visiting the coastal regions around Fischland-Darß-Zingst or Rügen can take advantage of a detour into the Mecklenburg hinterland to experience this special encounter with contemporary art in a historic vicarage. Visits are possible all year round by telephone appointment.
