Not far from the monastery church is a museum full of rarities and curiosities from the everyday life of the population in the first half of the 20th century. A lovingly furnished museum that invites you to marvel and join in. On a tour of the museum, you can admire an old school classroom, a kitchen, a living room, a children's room and an original cobbler's workshop. There is also a variety of different technical equipment and a presentation of the "history of washing clothes". There is also an exhibition on dental history with an original foot drill from around 1880, a dentist's chair from around 1925 and a wide variety of utensils. Special curiosities include a working Tefifon from the 1950s, an indoor toilet with a sand flush, a water-powered mixer and a bathtub in a cupboard. Touching and trying out is allowed! In the classroom, visitors can try out writing with a stylus on a slate and the Sütterlin script. Various coloring pictures and crayons are available for younger visitors. Of course, they can also play in the children's room. We are happy to accompany our visitors through the exhibition, demonstrate things and explain them. Information on guided tours here.

The exhibition shows rarities and curiosities from people's everyday lives in the first half of the 20th century - lovingly put together and designed to be touched.

Historical everyday worlds to experience and participate in

Visitors pass through an originally furnished school classroom, an old kitchen, a living room, a children's room and a real cobbler's workshop. There are also technical devices, the history of washing clothes and a dental exhibition with a foot drill from around 1880 and a dentist's chair from around 1925. Special curiosities such as a working Tefifon from the 1950s, an indoor toilet with a sand flush, a water-powered mixer and a bathtub in a cupboard provide a real sense of wonder.

Participation for young and old - Sütterlin writing and play corner

In the historical classroom, visitors can write with a stylus on the slate and try out the Sütterlin script. Children will find coloring pictures, crayons and a play corner in the children's room.
