In the small district of Rubitz, just four kilometers south of Barth, Irene Schuhmacher-Reidel runs her ceramics workshop. With over forty years of experience in artistic ceramics, the potter provides an insight into her versatile and mature work. If you want to explore the tranquil landscape of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern away from the well-known coastal towns such as Stralsund, Greifswald or Fischland-Darß-Zingst, Rubitz is a worthwhile stopover.

Handmade ceramics - from maritime motifs to garden art

The spectrum of works on display ranges from hand-shaped small series such as maritime soap dishes and ceramic jewelry to garden ceramics and individual pieces inspired by the surrounding nature. The design language reflects the connection to the North German coastal landscape and makes the works authentic souvenirs from the Baltic Sea region.

The Keramik-Werkhof opens its doors for events such as the "Pottery Open Day" and "Art Open" around Whitsun. Outside of these events, it is possible to visit the exhibition at any time by appointment.
