Bio24 im Stall.dich.ein in Poppendorf is one of the most unusual projects on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. What was once a dilapidated pigsty has been transformed into a lively community space with a lot of hard work and passion. The village store and café offers homemade and regional food in organic quality - fresh bread rolls, coffee, cakes and a cozy brunch on Sundays.

Community-oriented concept with a regional character

There is a big vision behind Stall.dich.ein: founder Volker Schenzle not only wanted to create a store and café, but also to revitalize village life in the region around Rostock. In addition to the village store and the café with pub, a painter's studio, a sewing and ceramics workshop, a dance and cinema hall and a festival barn with a playground were created. Premises can be rented and charitable work is expressly encouraged.
