A place for gourmets Whether it's a cozy afternoon with friends, a little sweet break or a spontaneous outing - our café is the perfect place to indulge yourself. And if you're feeling peckish between meals, we serve freshly baked waffles, crumble buns and apple tarts that really do taste like grandma's. If you fancy ice cream or bread outside our opening hours, our vending machine is open 24/7 and filled with the best ice cream in a tub and frozen bread and rolls to bake up. Cultural history museum for everyday magic and witch hunts in Mecklenburg The small town of Penzlin is located in a scenic part of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The most important sight in Penzlin is the "Old Castle" from the 16th century. Since 1994 it has been home to the specialist museum for "Magic and Witch Hunts in Mecklenburg". Expert guides provide information about the castle's history and bring the witch hunts back to life on a tour of the torture chamber and the unique witch dungeons. Also worth seeing are the black kitchen with its 12-metre-high chimney and the knights' hall, which is now used as a registry office.
