Mirow Castle Island - Love Island
Liebesinsel is part of the Mirow Castle complex.
It is connected to the castle island by an iron bridge. On “Liebesinsel” lies the tomb of Adolf Friedrich VI, the last Grand Duke of the Mecklenburg-Strelitz region. Changing special exhibitions with works by regional artists and on Mecklenburg's history complement the interactive experience exhibition in the 3 Königinnen Palais. They offer insights into the vibrant culture of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The Palais Café with its large sun terrace and magnificent view over Lake Mirower invites you to linger and enjoy. Tempting cakes, delicious pastries and hearty, freshly prepared soups are a popular refreshment after a hike across the castle island and a good reason for an extended break.
