Ludwigsburg Natural Beach
The beach in Ludwigsburg is a popular destination for vacationers and locals from the surrounding area.
On hot summer days, you can find a shady spot under the pine trees of the coastal forest, and a small, rustic restaurant offers a solid selection of food and drinks. The homemade cake is highly recommended. For kite and surf enthusiasts, the beach and the shallow waters of the Dänische Wiek and the Greifswalder Bodden offer the best conditions. The beach is located about three kilometers outside of town, right on the Dänische Wieck. It’s easily accessible by bike via a traffic-calmed road. The Baltic Sea Coast Bike Path runs along here. The monitored parking lot costs two euros per day. The beach is very beautiful, with plenty of sand and patches of grass. From here, you have a magnificent view across the Bodden to the silhouette of Greifswald and the harbor. The cozy restaurant with a large terrace invites you to enjoy hot meals and cold ice cream. It’s open daily from May through October. During the colder months, it’s open on weekends. Restrooms are also available. For the little ones, there’s a large playground and plenty of space to run around.
