FusingGlasGalerie Löcknitz - glass art in a historic setting

Sculptor and glass designer Werner Kothe set up his open studio in Löcknitz Castle, not far from the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in November 2020. The FusingGlasGalerie Löcknitz combines a year-round exhibition offering with a sales gallery, where you can discover glass art objects for interior and exterior use, for sacred buildings as well as utility glass and jewelry.

Fusing glass art - a special glass finishing technique

Werner Kothe has been specializing in the fusing technique, in which glass is fused together at high temperatures, since 2002. In his studio, he creates unique works of art from this fascinating material. He passes on his extensive specialist knowledge to interested parties in creative courses held throughout the year - a special offer for art enthusiasts from the entire Baltic Sea region, whether from Greifswald, Usedom or Stralsund.

Experience glass art and create your own works

Visitors to the FusingGlasGalerie can not only experience the studio as a gallery, but also take part in courses and learn the fusing technique for themselves. Accommodation is also available for overnight guests directly on site, so that a visit can also be combined with a longer stay in southern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
