Fishing history up close in Koserow on Usedom
The local history museum "Uns Fischers Arbeitshütt" in Koserow provides an authentic insight into the fishing tradition of the Baltic seaside resort. The small museum of local history is part of a historic ensemble of salt huts in the immediate vicinity of the Koserow pier - one of the most striking landmarks on the island of Usedom on the coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Salt huts as witnesses of the Koserow fishing industry
The old huts in the ensemble were once used to store salt, which was essential for preserving freshly caught fish. This tradition shaped the lives of coastal dwellers along the entire Baltic coast - from Fischland-Darß-Zingst to Rügen and Usedom. The Heimatstube makes this piece of local history tangible for visitors and preserves the heritage of the Koserow fishing families.
The smallest wedding room on the island of Usedom
If you want to combine history with a very special occasion: "Fischers Arbeitshütt" is the smallest wedding room on the island of Usedom. Couples can get married here in a unique setting - surrounded by fishing history and the charm of the old salt hut ensemble directly on the Baltic Sea

Koserow mini golf course
📍 Koserow
Germany's largest mini golf course on the Baltic coast. The Koserow mini golf course can be found in the center of Koserow, right next to the fire station with 2 x 18 holes in the open air. The minigolf course is centrally located in Koserow, right next to the fire station. The time-honored trees provide cooling shade in the summer heat and protection from the strong sea breeze. The course is embedded in nature and has 2 x 18-hole courses that can be played separately. The course is also great fun to play in the evening thanks to the subtle lighting and illuminated balls and can be rounded off with a campfire and a sausage spit. Night golf is also possible on request. For those who prefer to play indoors, the mini golf course in Pudagla, in the industrial estate on the B111, is a must on the wellness island. Regardless of the weather, you can enjoy unforgettable hours here with a cloudy yet bright sky. The two courses with a total of 36 holes offer the opportunity to test your skills. The aim here is to outwit obstacles, hit the kidney stone or play the double bass - the creative courses definitely provide moments of surprise. Modern lighting technology provides variety, as does a babbling watercourse. On top of all this, the holes on the courses are rewarded with light signals and every now and then, a hole in the wall will be revealed.
Koserow pier
📍 Koserow
The new Koserow pier extends 280m into the Baltic Sea in the shape of a wave. Opened in 2021, it offers 2 large platforms that invite you to sit, enjoy and breathe in the Baltic Sea air. They can also be used as a sunset cinema. There are benches to linger on both platforms as well as on the 280-metre-long bridge itself. At least eight swivel beach chairs will soon be installed on it. The large open spaces can be used as a sunset cinema, but also for smaller concerts. The bridge railing is illuminated with LED strips so that the wooden wave is also an eye-catcher at night. And because the word "experience" unites all the senses, there is a small but fine wine and cocktail bar on the bridgehead in a specially converted Ape to delight the palate and throat. Koserow has also created a link to the Vineta saga. A bell tower was erected on the bridgehead to remind visitors of the legend by ringing the "Vineta" bells on Easter Sunday, which says: "If you are a Sunday child, you can see the town of Vineta rise from the sea on Easter Sunday". The bells originally came from a church in Lower Saxony. However, as many guests had expressed the wish for the bells to ring more frequently, they now ring out every Wednesday at 4 pm following the telling of the Vineta legend. Every bridge needs a little art, says Nadine Riethdorf (Koserow's spa director), referring to the latest addition to Koserow, a statue made of Corten steel. A man with a bell in his hand looking out over the Baltic Sea. Is it a fisherman or the bell-ringer of Vineta - which is better suited to the amber village?
