Carriage Museum Kobrow II - Over 200 historic carriages in the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park

The Mecklenburg Carriage Museum in Kobrow II is one of the most important collections of carriages in Germany. In the middle of the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park, not far from the town of Sternberg, it preserves over 200 carriages, wagons and horse-drawn sleighs from the 19th and early 20th centuries in four halls. Anyone wishing to add a cultural excursion into the interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to their coastal region - for example after a vacation on the Baltic Sea, Rügen or the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula - will find a worthwhile destination here.

The collection showcases the impressive variety of historical carriage designs: elegant my lords, coupes, landauers, wagonettes, phaetons and hunting carriages illustrate the high level of craftsmanship of past eras. The exhibition is complemented by an extensive collection of rare travel accessories, saddles and bridles as well as children's carriages, commercial and military vehicles. After the tour, the museum café invites you to take a break with homemade cakes and hearty snacks.

The museum is a particularly recommended excursion destination for cyclists starting from Sternberg. Groups can also arrange visits outside the regular summer season. The Kobrow II Carriage Museum is open from April to October, Thursdays to Saturdays

You can reach the Kobrow II Carriage Museum by car via the B104 onto the B192 towards Goldberg - at the end of Sternberg, take the first exit on the right towards Kobrow. The nearest train station is in Sternberg, from where the museum is also easily accessible by bike.
