Kobrow Carriage Museum

Kobrow Carriage Museum

📍 Kobrow II

With over 200 coaches, carriages and sleighs, the Kobrow collection is one of the richest and most important in Germany. The elegant Mylords, Coupès, Wagonettes, Landauers, Victoria carriages, Phaetons and hunting carriages show the great variety of designs. There is a museum café with delicious cakes. It's hard to imagine that less than 100 years ago, the automobile was the exception and the carriage the rule. The Mecklenburg Carriage Museum in Kobrow invites you on a journey back in time. The Mecklenburg Carriage Museum is located in the middle of the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park, just outside the town of Sternberg. You can see over 200 carriages, wagons and horse-drawn sleighs in four halls. The extensive collection of rare travel accessories, saddles, bridles and other rarities is remarkable. Great craftsmanship was required to build the carriages and accessories. All of this can be experienced in the museum. The collection also includes children's carriages as well as commercial and military vehicles. They all date from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Come with us to the time before the automobile! Visits can also be arranged for groups during the winter season. Take a tour of our museum, after which you can treat yourself to home-baked cakes or homemade savory snacks in the museum café! Summer season opening hours: April to October Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Directions: Via the B104 onto the B 192 towards Goldberg, exit Sternberg 1st exit right Kobrow.
