In the interior, there are two particularly impressive features: the coffered ceiling is decorated with a starry sky and lends the simple church interior a quiet solemnity. The carved altar from around 1500 shows Mary between St. Martin and St. Catherine in the central shrine as well as other figures of saints on the sides - an outstanding example of late medieval carving art in the region between Rügen and Greifswald Bodden.
