Boek Manor House on the Baltic Sea - history and national park under one roof

The Boek manor house is one of the most striking historical buildings in the Mecklenburg Lake District and Baltic Sea Coast National Park region. The two-storey plaster building with 13 axes and a central risalit was built in the first half of the 19th century and looks back on an eventful history. Various owners shaped the estate, including the le Fort family, before it passed into the administration of the German Air Force in 1935.

Today, the Boek manor house is home to a restaurant on one side and a national park information center, a village museum and a pewter figure museum with an attached workshop on the other. The building is therefore a lively meeting place for visitors to the Müritz National Park - one of the largest national parks in northern Germany, not far from the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg.

Accessible exhibition "The Fishermen of Boek"

The accessible exhibition "The Fishermen of Boek" is particularly noteworthy. All objects and content are set to music and designed to be tactile, so that blind, visually impaired and deaf people can also fully experience the exhibition. Wheelchair users have unrestricted access. Please note: Boek Manor House is currently closed for renovation work.

The National Park Ticket buses stop in Boek directly in front of the manor house, making it easy and environmentally friendly to get there without having to use your own car. The National Park Ticket is a popular means of transport for excursions in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region and connects many sights around the Müritz region.
