We offer canoes and kayaks of various sizes for one-day and multi-day trips and also provide equipment for groups (school classes). For groups, we’re happy to provide customized quotes and, for multi-day trips, transport the boats to individual starting and ending points in the lake district upon request.

KanuBasis Blankenförde is located in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District, one of the most water-rich landscapes in all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Anyone who takes to the water here enters a motorboat-free area: The Müritz National Park and the Havel headwaters offer tranquil waterways that paddlers enjoy discovering as a nature experience away from the Baltic Sea between coastal excursions to destinations such as Rügen, Usedom, or Fischland-Darß-Zingst.
18 types of boats to suit every need—from children to groups
The base offers 18 different types of boats: handcrafted American aluminum canoes, agile touring kayaks for one or two people with a rudder, sturdy plastic canoes for up to four people, as well as fun boats for children and teens. Single and double kayaks without a rudder are also available for relaxed day trips; some can be used as three-seaters for two adults with a small child.
Multi-day tours and group packages in the Mecklenburg Lake District
Customized packages are available for school classes, clubs, and other groups. For multi-day tours, KanuBasis Blankenförde transports the boats—by arrangement—to individual starting and ending points within the Lake District, making it easy to plan extended paddling routes without having to paddle back.
