The seaside resort of Altefähr is located in the southwest of the island of Rügen and is one of eight seaside resorts on Germany's largest island. Line 41 from Bergen or line 30 from Serams via Putbus, Bergen, Garz to Stralsund. Line 1 runs several times a day between Stralsund and Altefähr. By train The regional express Rostock - Sassnitz runs every two hours and stops in Altefähr. The regional express from Stralsund to Binz also stops in Altefähr.
