The Dutch windmill in Zepelin is unique in the region.
The restored Dutch windmill was built in 1890. A distinctive feature in the Mecklenburg area is the preserved overhead drive system for the grinding gears. The Zepelin windmill is the only one still standing out of the 13 that once existed in the region.
